"Are you guys seriously just leaving me alone?" Taerin frowned as they entered the lift of the hospital, carrying the books. Though, the largest stack was being carried by Wonyoung's very silent driver.

"Yes. It's almost 10. I want to shower and sleep." Wonyoung yawned.

"Ya. I think I'm getting a kick back from all the coffee I drank during class." Chaewon puffed her cheeks up and leaned against Wonyoung for support.

"Sucks to be you. I guess I'm calling my brother."

"Will he even show up?"

"I'll just guilt trip him."

"Pfft. The powers of a younger sister."

"I love this power."

"Of course you do." The lift doors opened with a short announcement of what floor it was, and the small group quickly exited and made a beeline for Jungwon's room.

Upon reaching, Wonyoung and Chaewon were harshly stopped by Taerin.

"Oh what now? Please I want to go home after dropping these books."

"Quit the whining, Chaewon. Look." Taerin signalled for them to look through the thin window on the door, and through it, they saw an elderly lady with her back towards them, chatting with Jungwon.

While they couldn't decipher what the contents of the conversation were, one thing was for certain to Taerin, and it's that she's never seen Jungwon smile so brightly before. Like a child who has never known the darksides of the world, a pure and innocent smile.

"So, do we enter. Hello? Taerin? Well someone's captivated." Chaewon snickered as she observed Taerin just gawking at the sight, not blinking one bit.

"Yah Kang Taerin, you're being so obvious." Wonyoung nudged her, which finally snapped her out of her trance.

"Huh? Oh, what? Whatever, l-let's go in." Her face turned red and she instinctively looked away, before she knocked on the door and quickly entered the room.

"Hi, I'm sure Sunoo informed you of this." Taerin greeted before setting the textbooks down on the bedside table.

"He actually didn't, so you need to explain." Jungwon's eyes seemed to sparkle in the light.

"Oh, he volunteered me to be your..... I don't know how what to call it, but anyways, he volunteered me to update you on all the school work."

"Why?"

"He said you'd take a running leap of Seoraksan before you'd let them be responsible for your studies."

"Well, he's right. Thanks, and sorry for the trouble."

"You don't need to apologise. You got hurt because of me. This is the least I could do."

"Well, okay then. Anyways, meet my grandmother. Halmeoni, this is my friend from school, Kang Taerin."

"Nice to meet you." Taerin bowed out of respect for the elderly.

"Hello dear. Thank you for being Jungwon's friend. I'm glad he's opening up to more people instead of being so closed off. You see, his mother-"

"Halmeoni, that's enough. You should head back home now. It's getting late."

"Alright, alright. Then I'll thank you in advance for taking care of him, dear."

"No problem, it's what friends do." She smiled, feeling a little awkward.

"Alright, then I'll go now."
