Saturday arrives quickly and Jungwon finds himself alone at the location Wonyoung had given him. He was 15 minutes early, so he had time to figure out exactly how he wanted to carry out the tutoring session.

'I wish Taerin was here.'

Jungwon puffed up his cheeks as he stared around cluelessly at the spacious room. That was when Chaewon arrived.

"Morning. Not a good morning, just a morning. I hate waking up just to study immediately." The unusually grouchy Chaewon greeted.

"Okay…" Jungwon, unsure of how to respond, just muttered.

"You feel like a fish out of water without your precious girlfriend by your side?"

"That is exactly how I feel."

"Well, too bad. I think she’s still asleep." Jungwon just let out a soft sigh. But he was snapped out of his thoughts by the arrival of the rest of the "class", just four other girls whom he recalls seeing around in school, but never bothered interacting with.

"Hello." One of them greeted Jungwon with a smile on their face. The rest seemed to be giggling over… something. Jungwon greeted them back, but he had a feeling that this wasn’t going to be the last of the giggles. Chaewon just stared at them with a judging glare, fighting her brain to keep her mouth shut.

'You are at a tutoring session, not a fansign with your idol…'

"Okay, I guess we can begin. So, which part of the first 5 chapters are you unsure of?" Jungwon asked, flipping his chemistry textbook and his own notebook open.

"I wrote them down. Give me a second." Chaewon popped a chewing gum in her mouth before taking her iPad out. Meanwhile, the other four girls were just busy flipping around their textbook, barely any indications of having actually read it, while twirling their hair. Jungwon gave them a blank stare.

"Oh we just don’t get like, uh, this part." One of the girls pointed to a random part of the page.

"That’s just a formula."

"O-oh, we don’t understand what it’s for. The triangle and everything."

"Basically, what’s above is divided by what’s below gives whatever the remaining factor is, like a fraction. Mass over molar mass gives number of moles, and mass over number of moles gives molar mass. Whatever is next to each other is multiplied, so the number of moles multiplied by molar mass gives the mass."

"How do you get molar mass?"

"The periodic table. It’s the atomic number."

"What’s the atomic number?"

"The relative atomic mass of the element."

"What’s that?" The girl asked, staring at him while twirling her hair.

"......"

"Hello?"

"I’m sorry, it’s the mass of an atom relative to one-twelfth the mass of a carbon atom."

"Huh?"

"...."

'Are you kidding me? This was supposed to be taught years ago…'
