Dex just had to keep running. That way, he could pretend that nothing had happened and everything was fine. He could be perfectly fine (helloo mr perfectly fiiineee) if he let himself believe that. Because he WAS fine. Right? Either way, it didn't matter - all that did matter was that Dex kept running. Because that's what he always did.

"Dex!" Biana shouted. Dex felt a hand on his shoulder. It spun him around to face Dex - Biana was stronger than she looked. "I...I...wait just...give me a minute," Biana said between breaths, he hands on her knees. "Whew! You're faster than you look!" She said after her cool-down. "Okay, what's wrong? And don't tell me it's nothing. I know we've only known each other for a few days, but I can DEFINITELY see that somethings wrong." Dex shook his head. "Seriously, Biana, it's fine." He started to walk away when Biana said, "No!"

Dex was surprised. She said this with more force than the last one. "I am NOT having another friend tell me that 'everything's fine' because it isn't! My friends are everything to me and I'm not losing them!" Biana said the last sentence with a tremble in her voice. "Biana, what is it?" Dex asked, voice softer.

Biana's eyes started to look especially shiny. "It's always been hard to make friends. All my life, I've lived in the shadow of my brother. The 'golden boy'. Whenever I had a friend that was a girl, they would use me to get closer to my brother. And whenever I had a friend that was a boy, they... Well, let's just say that they wanted to be more than friends." Biana clenched her fists. "I hate how people always think that I'm just a 'pretty face'." Biana's expression softened. "But then, I found a group of amazing friends. A-and I never want to them.

Dex moved closer to Biana, not sure if he should do this. He did it anyway. He wrapped Biana in his arms and hugged her. (hehe you thought he'd kiss her, didn't you?) It took Biana a second, but she then sank into the hug and it felt... right. Not awkward or weird or anything. "You're never gonna lose them. You're never gonna lose me," he whispered. "Thank you," she whispered back.

There were just there in silence for a bit when Dex decided something. "Biana," he said when they pulled away. She seemed to read his expression. "Look, Dex, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to," she said. "No, no, really," Dex replied. He could trust Biana.

Dex took a deep breath. "My parents are David and Stella Forebringer, the famous actors." Dex let that sink in before adding. "And, with all their fame, they definitely aren't the best parents. They never care about what I want and what I want to be." Dex found himself clenching his fists. He took a deep breath before continuing. "My older siblings came over yesterday to apologise. Apologise for leaving me when I needed them most. And I guess some part of me does forgive them but I just needed space. While distancing myself from them, I guess I distanced myself from you guys in the process. I'm sorry."

Dex braced himself for the result. The gasps, the pummelling questions. Oh Dex hated the questions. 'Wow! Your parents are the Forebringers?' 'Can I meet them?' 'What are they like?' Instead he felt a tender hand rest on his arm. "I'm sorry you had to go through that, Dex," Biana said. Dex had to hold back a gasp. Biana didn't care who his parents were. She just cared about him. Dex had no words so he just smiled, and that was enough.

Awwwwww that was such a sweet ending! (hehe one of the very few) Just so you know, that wasn't like the BIG thing that happens in this story, just an important point in Biana and Dex's relationship. So, don't worry, there's MUCH more dexiana fluff to come. (yayyyy) Anyway, it's like two am right now so I should probably try (and fail) to get some sleep.

Bye for now ;)
