Dex had just been having a conversation with Fitz when he heard Biana's scream. They both looked at each other and started to run, everyone else hot on their heels. When they'd tracked the sound down to a small room by the hallways, Dex glared at Biana. He'd really been worried about her and what had he found? He found... well he wasn't really sure.
There was a hyper Biana, a smirking Keefe (what else is new?) and a blushing Sophie. Whatever was going on, it definitely wasn't life-threatening.
Fitz took the words right out of Dex's mouth, "Seriously, Biana?" Tam then added, "Yeah, we thought there was some sort of emergency." Biana rolled her eyes at everyone. "What do you mean? There is: Sophie and Keefe kissed!" she practically screamed the last part.
"Wow, Biana. Yeah, just go tell the whole world," Sophie said sarcastically. She placed a hand on her hip. "You know I would," she answered. "To be fair, she probably would," Marella added. "Only because you guys are sooo cute!" Biana said. "Whatever Biana, you're next," Keefe retorted, smirking. It took Dex a second to realise that Keefe was looking between him and Biana, a teasing look on his face.
They both went beet-red. "N-n-no," Dex started pointing to the space between them. "We don't- we won't-" Biana nodded, more hyper than she was before. (if that was possible) "Yeah, there's no way," Dex couldn't help but feel a pang on her emphasis on 'no'. But not for a specific reason, of course. It wasn't like he liked Biana in that way... right?
While everyone went back to talking and congratulating Sophie and Keefe, Dex noticed Fitz's jaw tighten in the background.
The whole 'love triangle' thing had always been a kind of joke but now that it definitely wasn't a joke, Fitz didn't seem too happy with the results. "Sorry, I need to go," he announced to everyone and walked off without another word. Sophie started to follow him but Keefe placed a hand on her shoulder, telling her to give him space. Dex was sure that he needed much more than space (like a good smack to the face?) but didn't comment on it.

"Okay, class that's the end of today's lesson; you may pack up," Mrs Jones said, Dex's English teacher. Dex was deep in thought when he packed up his books. He couldn't believe it had been a whole month since he'd come to East Way High. (big time skip, I know but I'm just lazy like that 🤷♀️) Well, time flies when you're having a good time.
Quick catch up: Tam and Marella were still going strong, Sophie and Keefe were as adorable as ever, (all hail the all-mighty Sokeefe 🙌) and Linh was now dating a guy called Wylie who was two years above her. Fitz had also gotten over the whole thing with Sophie and Keefe, after a LOT of arguments and was now dating someone else. (hehe your not relevant enough to have a name for your girlfriend Fitz)
"Oh, and don't forget, The Winter Gala is happening in a few weeks!" This earned some cheers from the class. Dex didn't mind though, he wasn't into that kind of stuff unless a specific person was... not that it had anything to do with it! And that person was definitely not Biana! (definitelyyyy🤨🤨)
And as if he'd summoned her, Dex saw Biana at the doorway of the classroom. He finished packing up his stuff and walked out of the class to meet her. "What? Couldn't possibly bare to be away from me for too long?" Dex said dramatically. Biana laughed and shoved his shoulder playfully. "Whatever Disney Land," she said with a smile. Dex groaned. "Biana, you know I hate that name," he said. 'Disney Land' was an annoying nickname Biana had come up with for Dex a few weeks ago. "I know," Biana answered as they started to walk through the halls of East Way High. "That's why I love it so much," she continued, a mischievous look in her eye.
"Hey guys!" Linh called out to Biana and Dex, waving them over to their usual table. Dex took his usual place next to Biana. (😏😏😏) "So, who are you guys taking to The Winter Gala?" Marella asked when they were both settled down. "Oh, uh, I don't really want to that kinda thing," Dex answered. He could've sworn that disappointment flickered over Biana's face next to him - but it was probably just his imagination. Marella pouted. "Aww, that's a shame, you two could go together!" Marella added, smirking. Dex then wondered if it was possible to die of embarrassment. "C'mon stop teasing the happy couple. Oh I mean the two!" Sophie added which made it so much worse.
Marella opened her mouth to say something when she frowned, "Wait, do you guys know where Tam is?" Sophie shook her head. "No, come to think of it, I don't know where Keefe is either," Fitz snorted. "20 bucks says that they're in the hospital after having an all-out brawl," he said. Dex nodded his head. "40 says that they've lost at least two limbs," Sophie rolled her eyes. "Guys, that's not-"
All of a sudden, 'I was made for lovin you' started to play in the cafeteria. Keefe and Tam walked in, a single flower in each boy's hand and started to walk towards Sophie and Marella, singing along horribly to the song. This made everyone laugh. One time when the group was having a sleepover, Tam and Keefe got forced to sing a karaoke duet together that was none other than the song that was playing right then. When the boys had reached the girls, they both knelt down and offered the flower. "It's a tradition to offer a flower to whoever you're asking out to The Winter Gala," Biana explained into Dex's ear so he'd understand what was happening.
Keefe gave Sophie a golden-flecked daisy as he said, "Foster, will you go to The Winter Gala with me?" Sophie smiled and looked down on him. "Of course, Keefe," She took the flower. Then it was Tam's turn. "Don't know why Keefe had to go first," he grumbled under his breath before saying, "Marella, will you go to The Winter Gala with me?" He held out a ombré fire lily. (fire... I have absolutely no idea what kind of recognition that has... at all...) Marella put a hand on one hip and frowned. "I dunno, it's tempting but..." Tam rolled his eyes. "Seriously?" he asked. Marella laughed and took the flower from him. "Sure, Tam. I'll go with you," she answered.
The whole thing was kinda smart, and sweet in a way. Sophie and Marella were always encouraging the two boys to get along - so to have a promposal with the other one was kind of endearing, in a way.
When the day was over, Sophie came up to Dex at the school gates. "Hey Dex!" she said. (Dex is relevant, yay!) "Hey Soph, what's up?" Dex replied. She started to walk with him. "I was wondering if you wanted to come over today - my parents are having some friends over and they said I could invite a friend," Sophie explained. Dex put a hand over his heart in mock surprise. "Is that all you think of me? A friend?" Sophie rolled her eyes. "What do you prefer - 'cuz?" Dex's face soured. "Ew, sounds like something a hipster would say," Sophie laughed and started pulling his arm towards the path she takes to her house. "Whatever, loser. Let's go,"
To be honest, I could extend the chapter from here. But it's already probably the longest chapter I've written. So instead, we can see Biana in the next chapter (yay!) and her nightmares! (...yay?) Anyway, I know I've made a lot of announcements with stuff like this but 200 views?!? I'm honestly so happy that my story's reached to that number - thank you so much.
Bye for now ;)
