Dex had been pacing around his dorm room for so long that he'd worn a groove into the carpet. "Hey, dude, chill. It's gonna be fine," Keefe assured him, grabbing his shoulders to stop him from moving. "Yeah - as much as I hate to agree with Keefe - there's no way Biana won't say yes," Tam called from the other side of the room. Dex still wasn't convinced. "Seriously, Dex, although she won't admit it, my sister totally likes you back!" Fitz added. "I dunno, guys, I mean, what if she says no? Everyone has had these HUGE prom-posals so far - mine is literally just asking her. What good is that?" Dex argued. (oh, Dex - it's just painful to watch)

Everyone in the room collectively sighed. "Well, we gotta go to class now, but just trust us when we say: Biana definitely likes you back - just ask her!" Keefe said and they all left. Dex bit his lip. He should've gone with the guys when they'd left but he was deep in thought. Could she like him back?

———————————————————————————

After some more deep thinking, Dex had finally worked up the courage - he was going to ask Biana! "You got this, Dex, you got this," he kept on repeating to himself as he walked through the halls.

After ten minutes, (it's a small school, okay?) Dex started to worry. Where was she? Suddenly, he bumped into a someone. "Oh, uh, sor-" Dex stopped - it was Biana. This was great! "Um, Biana?" "Yeah?" she replied. Biana looked up at him - she didn't look different but there was something, something behind her eyes. Something was different. Shake it off, Dex - it's just the nerves. "Uh, I was wondering-" he stopped himself.

What was he doing? Something was definitely wrong with Biana! What kind of friend would he be if he didn't look out for her? "You were wondering?" Biana inquired. Dex took a deep breath. She didn't need Winter Gala drama right now - she needed a friend and that was what he was going to be for her, anything she needed. "Did you want to come over to play video games?" Biana arched an eyebrow. "Seriously, Dex? I dunno if you noticed, but I'm not a video games kind of girl." Dex responded with an eyebrow mirroring hers. "So? Come on, it'll be fun!" Biana smiled and there was something so beautiful in it. Like she'd been sending out a silent plea and Dex was the only one to receive it - at least, that's what he thought of it.

———————————————————————————

"No! Run!" "That's what I'm trying to do!" "Well why are you dead then?" "What? I'm dead? Oh no, I'm dead!" "Seriously, Dex, I might even beat you at this rate! Oh, wait." Biana turned to face Dex. "What?" Dex said. Biana cocked her head to the side playfully. "Are you letting me win?" Dex put a hand to his chest dramatically. "I would never! Maybe I'm just that bad!" he suggested. Biana laughed and turned off the game. "Definitely," she said.

The two then began to talk about random stuff like: Do crabs think fish fly? or Is sand called sand because it's between the sea and the land? and If you sweat in a sweater, aren't you the sweater? You know, stuff to snap your brain in half when it's 2 am in a cramped dorm room which, it very much was.

Little did the two know, though, the boys had gotten back early from their annual school pranking that Dex didn't want to come on - now they knew why - and we're hiding in the dark, fangirling like crazy.

And once again, this is a very short chapter. All my chapters are short basically, so I would recommend that you wait until they all are up so you can enjoy them all in one place - but that's just what I would do, if you want, you can still read them on every weekly upload. (pretty sure that was the longest sentence of all time) Anyway, I would also like to thank everyone that's reading this right now because we reached 400 views! 🥳🥳🥳 I know I say this a lot so I'm going to promise that I'll only make updates for every 100 added views (but that won't stop me from getting excited for every extra view I get).

Bye for now ;)
