The brooms knocked them both down, making Biana fall on Dex. She propped herself up on her elbows, so that she was in a sort of lazy plank position. Biana couldn't help but notice how Dex had deeper flakes of blue in his eyes, like starry skies. She and Dex then realised how close their faces were and they both went red.

"S-sorry," Dex stuttered, helping her up. Biana brushed her wavy hair out of her face. "Yeah, yeah it's fine. Don't know where that came from though," Biana said, peering at the door. There seemed to be no one but Dex and her near it. "Um, I never got your name actually," Dex said, biting his lip, looking...nervous? Biana opened her mouth to say something when-

"Oh Biana!" a voice sang through the halls. "Fancy seeing you here," Sophie said and slung her arm around Dex, a smirk on her face. Biana gave her look that said what-the-hell-are-you-doing-why-are-you-here. Dex didn't seem to be fazed though as he rolled his eyes and said, "Whatever, Sophie get off me."

"Wait you know him?" Biana asked. Sophie nodded. "Mm-hmm. He's my cousin. Who is single, I might add," Sophie said, smirk growing as she turned to Dex and said, "Biana here is single too," Dex blushed. Biana rolled her eyes. "Keefe's been growing on you, what's with all the smirking?" Although she was trying to be cool, Biana couldn't stop thinking about the fact that Dex was Sophie's cousin. Did that mean that Dex would be sitting with them at lunch? For some reason, that made Biana's heart flutter so much she thought it would it would leave her chest. "I think you know why there's so much smirking," Sophie answered. The bell drowned out Biana's reply. It was the end of the day. "Well, I gotta go - I have something after school," Sophie said. Biana arched an eyebrow, "What? Dreaming about-" Sophie cut her off. "Oh, would you look at the time, it's Keefe-o'clock! I mean it's four-o'clock! I'm just gonna go." And with that, Sophie dashed out the doors, the redness on her face rivalling that of a tomato.

"She forgot her stuff, didn't she?" Dex said as he and Biana watched Sophie run off. "Yep, she always does. And when she remembers them, she slips and slides, running to get them." Biana answered. "And THAT'S when she falls flat on her face?" Dex guessed. They both laughed. Although she'd just met him, Biana felt... comfortable around him. She didn't know why, it was weird but, then again, life's weird. When their laughter had died down, Dex smiled at Biana. "So, Biana, huh?" Biana smiled back. "Oh come on, at least it's not as bad as 'Dizznee'!" Dex's smile widened. "I'll see you tomorrow, Biana," Dex then walked away. Boy was Biana looking forward to tomorrow.

--------------------------------------------------------------

Sure enough, Biana was right (cue dramatic hairflip) - Dex sat with them at lunch the next day. "So, Dex, these are my friends - Keefe Sencen, Tam and Linh Song, Marella Redek, Fitz Vacker and, well you already know Biana," Sophie said, pointing to everyone when she said their names, they offered a wave when she did. Dex's mouth was open and he was staring at Fitz. "Now I can see how you and Dex are cousins - you two are just so alike!" Biana whispered into Sophie's ear, not loud enough for everyone else to hear. What a generous friend Biana was. "What is it, Dex?" Sophie asked, her face slightly pink. Dex looked around to everyone. "You don't know? He's famous!" Everyone whipped their heads around to Fitz, who looked just as confused as everyone else. "I'm like, your biggest fan! Will you sign this for me?" Dex continued, pulling something out of his bag.

Fitz's face went red while everyone processed what just happened. Keefe started laughing so hard he fell off his chair, which made Tam burst out laughing. Marella and Linh then kicked him in either shin for that and he doubled over in pain (get it? 'doubled' cuz it's 'double' the pain? ... yea ill shut up now). Keefe, who'd just gotten up from the floor, fell over again, laughing, after seeing Tam in pain. Soon enough, everyone was laughing their heads off and the other people in the cafeteria were looking at them like what-on-actual-earth-is-happening-should-we-call-the-police-or-something.

After everyone had calmed down, Keefe slung an arm around Dex and announced, "It's official, this Dex's my favourite person in the world!" Mine too Biana was about to say, but, luckily, she stopped herself in time. "Well, maybe second favourite," Keefe added, winking at Sophie, who was now trying to hide in her hair (keep trying Sophie, you can do it!). "Either way, I love this guy!" Dex blushed.

A ping came from Sophie's phone and a mischievous smile took over her face as she read it. "Hey, Marella, Linh, Biana, you know how you guys were thinking of coming over for a sleepover sometime," Sophie said. "Yeah," they all answered, slightly scared for our lives. "Well, how about tomorrow?" They all knew that this would result in them doing something so they gave up while they were ahead and agreed. Unfortunately but predictably, they were absolutely right.

I had a lot of fun writing that chapter but now I don't really know how to finish it off... Guess I'll just leave you with an inspiring quote I found...

And then I tried to thank the hippo for the taffy but he couldn't hear me...'Cause I was eating his ear!

Yeah, I was in awe of the utter beauty radiating off of that quote too... I'll probably put in more quotes for the Author's Note at the end of different parts when I don't know what else to say. Weird-randomness aside, thank you for reading this part and I hope you enjoyed it.

Bye for now ;)
