*Trinity's P.O.V.*

The city was in absolute chaos.

It hadn't been very long into the morning before we were all discovered in the underground tunnels that hid below the city streets. The demons and Fallen alike looked absolutely fearsome and disgusting. I had never seen such angry angels or hideous creatures before in all my life. Rotting flesh, huge teeth, burning red eyes and a loud growl to match.

Men, women and children of all ages, human and angel had been crying and screaming and praying to God for help as we had been herded above ground to the city center by the castle. Those who were desperate to flee and try to escape were quickly cut down and ripped apart by the demons and I was quick to decide to stay with the crowd where it seemed most safe at the moment.

"Find me my King and Queen!" I heard a deep, maniacal voice shout. My head snapped up to the castle balcony to see a very large and dark-haired Fallen standing there with his head thrown back in grim laughter.

Just by looking at him, I could sense how powerful his dark aura really was and I wasn't able to hold in my panicked gasp as I immediately realized that this must be Lucifer.

The Devil himself.

A cold shiver ran down my spine and I started to shake. My heart was beating so hard that all I could hear was a dull roar from the panicked people all around me. My head and ears were pounding in time with my quick heartbeat.

Everyone around me started to push and shove more fiercely to try to get away from the edge of the crowd where the demons and Fallen were now quickly searching through the humans, looking for the king and queen. I didn't realize that they would be among us instead of hiding in the castle but it made sense.

Everything seemed to happen in a quick blur.

A man and women were suddenly flown up to the balcony and looking up, my jaw dropped to the ground and my heart lurched forward at what I saw. Victoria and Keegan! He was still alive and with Victoria no less!

"Keegan!" I shouted, "Victoria!" but it was no use. There was no way they could hear me calling them with the entire city's population crying and screaming around me.

But what was Keegan doing up there with them? Upon closer inspection, I noticed the two demons standing behind him and realized that he was being held prisoner.

I tried my hardest to push and shove my way closer to the front so they might have a chance to see me from the balcony but it was no use. Everyone was frantically moving around, calling out to find loved ones and friends and family and I felt like I was getting moved in the opposite direction.

A collective gasp mixed with shrieks of horror sounded through the people all around me. I looked around and saw wide terrified eyes and some people pointing up at the castle. I turned quickly to hear a dull thud. A strong wave of nausea rocked through my stomach as I realized that Lucifer pushed the man and women off the balcony to fall to their deaths.

"But I do know what royalty tastes like!" he was saying.

The largest and strongest, most fierce looking black wings spouted from Lucifer's back and he jumped up onto the ledge with his wings held out wide to either side of him. Each wing was easily much longer than I was tall and the feathers looked almost sharp.

It was hard to hear exactly what he was saying as I was so tightly packed among all of these Humans and Pure's but everyone started yelling out desperately.

"Where is the king and queen?"

"Do the right thing! Hand yourselves over!"

"Have you no heart! Do something for the people for once!"
