Caress the one, the Never-Fading
Rain in your heart - the tears of snow-white sorrow
Caress the one, the hiding amaranth
In a land of the day break

In the morning I was awakened by the cold air in my room, raindrops falling on the windows, gently and gracefully but still their impact was loud, I squinted tiredly and squinted my eyes around me, it was exactly 7:30. I was quite the early bird, I immediately remembered what was in store for me today and my heart jumped gently. I exhaled to calm myself down a bit. I slipped into my slippers that looked like turtles, I love turtles and I love foxes too, but whatever. I checked the thermostat and smacked my forehead when I realized it had been set wrong all night, that's why I was so cold. I rolled my eyes at my stupidity and reset the thermostat to the correct temperature. I took a quick shower, washed my hair, and made myself some coffee. Picked out an outfit, I chose something simple. Black skinny jeans that had holes in the knees, old blue converse, I threw a black long sleeved shirt over that oversized Nightwish t-shirt, grabbed my leather jacket and made to head to the address.

"Shit, I almost forgot my bass guitar." I paused in the doorway and quickly grabbed for my guitar case. I punched the address into my phone's navigation and headed to where I was supposed to meet Todd and the others. The place was 15 minutes from my apartment. So I arrived a little early, 9:15 to be exact. I parked at a boxy smaller building that looked like it only had one floor. It looked more like a big shipping container. I turned off the engine, got out and looked around. Not a foot anywhere, it had just stopped raining, there were two other cars and a motorcycle parked next to my Mercedes. I was about to call Todd when a hand tapped me on the shoulder.

"Are you Y/N L/N?" I immediately recognized that perfect soft voice. I smiled and turned around.

"Yes it's me, I wasn't supposed to be here until half past nine and meet Todd, is he in?" I saw Ashley in the flesh for the first time, she really was a little taller than I thought, her piercing green eyes twinkled. She nodded and offered me her hand.

"We've been waiting for you, Todd told me about you." Carefully my hand slipped into hers, we walked around the building and found ourselves at the back where the entrance was, Ashley took out a key and unlocked it, together we entered the dark building.

"Before we start, I need to tell you one detail Todd probably didn't tell you." Ashley said a little apprehensively and touched the light switch, which at that moment lit up the entire room. I was in their rehearsal room. My eyes were in awe. I looked over at Ashley who bit her lip to keep from smiling, nodding as permission for my examination. On the right side of the room was a bar that was probably packed with all sorts of alcohol, booze, and food. In the middle was a complete lineup of all the Weeping Angels instruments. The microphone closest to the middle. Ashley's. On the left, a blood red guitar, carefully placed in a holder. Not far from it, a bunch of gear that went with it. That was Sal's. In the back was a drum set that was all black, on one drum in the middle, was their logo and the words 'Weeping Angels'. That was Larry's place. I looked over to the spot to the right of Ashley's microphone. There was Travis' bass guitar. It didn't have a speck of dust on it, like someone had used it a while ago. I turned my head gently to the side and turned to Ashley.

"Sal didn't want us to give it away, yet." She sighed and slowly walked over to me.

"I just want you to know Y/N that all of us, are still pretty fucked up, but I also want you to know that you're our savior and almost all of us are counting on you for the future and looking forward to playing again." We sat down at the bar and she handed me a water.

"Thanks Ashley, and what do you mean, almost all of us?" I opened the bottle and took a sip, my throat suddenly dry at her words.

"About Sal, Todd probably warned you, he's still in pretty bad shape, the last few weeks when we decided to hire a replacement it's gotten worse, Sal has gotten worse again, every time we've found someone and no matter how good he was it still came off. But when Todd came in with you, we felt good about it, so we're really counting on you, but here's the thing.." She stammered and broke eye contact.
