You told me it's all my fault
You made me fall in love
I had no other choice
I knew it from the jump
I don't ever wanna wake up
'Cause I don't wanna see your face no more
I'm still dealing with that pain,
I don't think that I can take no more🎤 - flashback
No one's pov
Sal's heart raced as he spotted Travis across the rehearsal room, his presence stirring up a whirlwind of emotions that he thought, he had long buried. It had been years since they last saw each other, since the days when Travis had been his tormentor in high school.
But now, as Travis stood before him, a hesitant smile playing at his lips, Sal couldn't help but feel a twinge of curiosity mixed with apprehension. Had Travis changed? Was he still the same bully who had made his life a living hell?
Sal's friend Ashley, who had brought Travis along to the band's gathering, caught sight of the tension between them and quickly intervened. "Sal, Travis, this is awkward, huh?" she said, her voice light with nervousness.
Sal forced a polite smile, his eyes never leaving Travis's. "Yeah, you could say that," he replied, trying to keep his tone neutral.
Travis shifted uncomfortably, his gaze flickering between Sal and Ashley. "Hey, Sal," he said finally, his voice tentative. "Long time no see."
Sal nodded in acknowledgement, unable to shake the memories of their troubled past. "Yeah, it's been a while," he said, his voice tinged with a hint of bitterness.
Ashley glanced between them, sensing the tension in the air. "Well, why don't we all grab a drink and catch up?" she suggested, her tone hopeful.
Despite his reservations, Sal found himself nodding in agreement. "Sure, why not?" he said, forcing a smile as he turned to lead the way to the bar.
As Sal glanced at Travis, a wave of resentment washed over him. He couldn't shake the memories of the torment he had endured at Travis's hands during high school, and the idea of having him in the band stirred up a whirlwind of conflicting emotions.
His friend Ashley, sensing his discomfort, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. "Sal, I know it's hard, but Travis really wants to make amends," she whispered, her voice filled with empathy.
Sal forced a tight-lipped smile, his jaw clenched with frustration. "I know, Ashley, but it's not that simple," he replied, his tone strained.
Travis shifted uncomfortably, his gaze flickering between Sal and Ashley. "Look, Sal, I know I messed up in the past," he began, his voice tinged with regret. "But I've changed. I want to make things right."
Sal's fists clenched at his sides, his anger simmering just beneath the surface. "You expect me to just forgive and forget?" he retorted, his voice sharp with bitterness. "After everything you put me through?"
