Part 9

What Zach blurted out was because of his anger. He never meant to hurt his mom, but seeing his father kissing another woman made him mad with rage. Joseph and Max, who went out to get some fresh air, witnessed the altercation between father and son.

"Wow, I thought my dad was F***K** Up, but now I feel he is an angel," Joseph muttered. He looked back at the woman with Zach's dad.

"She looks so plastic. Old shoes dripped with new polish".

Zach and Rose went back to their apartment. They were both speechless.

"I can't believe Dad can do that, with Aunt Marissa," Rose cried.

Zach's senses were lost. He was very close to his mother and he felt betrayed that she did not involve him.

"I am very angry at Mom. Why did she go through this alone? I am not a child anymore."

Rose, who was closer to her father, was in disbelief. "He was my hero."

"Hero, my foot. He was never there for us."

"You were very harsh towards Mum, Zackie"

"I know, but I am still angry at her. She did not have to bear everything alone. I can never imagine how much pain she is going through because of those people".

It was 3 am when both of them got a message from Heather.

They both panicked and Rose slapped Zack on his face.

"I will never forgive you if something happens to Mum"

Zack called his mother, but she did not pick up the call. He then called Nicki.

"Aunt Nicki, please pick up the phone". He was mumbling.

"She must be at work."

"Do you have Uncle's number?"

"Yes, I will look."

Just then Nicki picked up the phone.

"Aunt Nicky, Can you please urgently check on Mum? I am worried about her."

Nicky was stunned listening to Zack's panicked voice.

"What happened?"

"I will explain to you later. Please go to Mum"

Nicki was at work, and she did not have time to speak to her manager. She just informed her colleagues and rushed out, calling her husband on the way. She tried ringing the doorbell but no one opened it. She looked around and Heather's car was still on the driveway.

Neil, her husband, arrived at her rescue.

"She is not opening the door, Neil."

Here Zack was on the phone with her.

"Ask uncle to break the kitchen window"

Neil went inside and opened the door for Nicky.

All Zack could hear on the phone was" Oh My god Heather!!

"Call an ambulance "

Zack slumped to the ground.

"It is all because of me" he was crying bitterly and slapping himself hard.

" Rose, I can't live without Mum. Not listening to her voice "

Rose had no idea what was going on.

" Zach, is mum alright? What did Aunt Nicky say?"

She called Nicky's phone, but she did not pick it up.

Rose checked Zachary. He had turned pale. She ran and brought water for him. She always knew that her brother loved their mum the most.

"Zachie, please calm down, I think we need to go home as soon as possible. I will carry the clothes you can arrange for the first available flights. Please compose yourself and act wisely"

Zach then called his friends to arrange for a return flight to London. They already had their passports. Within an hour they were at the airport. He messaged Nicki that they were on their way.

Here Aaron was very depressed after the altercation with his children. He was not ready to reveal anything and was afraid that Heather might turn them against him. He was awake the whole night and this did not go down well with Marissa.

"Aaron, they are not children anymore. They are adults and will understand."

"They should not have found out like that."

"You can never hide the truth from them. They know at some point in life . It is good that they know the truth."

"I am afraid that they will cut contact with me, especially Zach."

"He is independent, and he should know that if he cuts contact with you, it is his loss."

"You have worked all your life to provide for your family and kids, and now it is time that you should live life for yourself, for me and our children."

"What children?"

Marissa sat in Aaron's lap and looked into Aaron's eyes and said confidently.

"Our future children. Symbols of our love, not some responsibility"

"Children?" Aron was shocked. He never wanted children.

"Don't you think I mold for that?"

"Darling, you are just 47 years old. That Heather has turned you into an old man".

"It is better we discuss children before we get married. I want to become a mother like any other woman and have children"

'M, I never said I did not want children. I love you, and I am always there for you. I can't start all over with you again"

"Imagine that I am pregnant, and you're kissing my protruded belly." She kissed him on his lips.

"Shouldn't we start the process now"? .

Now Marissa knew that Aaron was wrapped around her finger. Aaron carried her in his arms inside. Soon their bedroom was filled with noises of grunting and moaning.
