Heather personally took Joseph to show him around. Because of traveling, Joseph got under weather. When he woke up the following morning, he had a temperature and a headache. He couldn't even open his eyes. It was the same situation for Daniel.
Heather canceled all her work commitments, asking Kelly and Simon to look after the business.
Joseph was so sick that he couldn't even open his eyes.
" I am not a great cook, but this chicken soup is the best I make."
She helped both father and son. She even fed Joe with her own hands.
Joe, all these years, never had any attention from any woman except his grandma. That too, when he was a kid. He hardly had any memories of someone taking care of him. The nannies and maids just did their work... Every time he was sick, he used to have medicine and recover on his own. No pampering.
Seeing Heather genuinely taking care of him stirred a lot of emotions in his heart.
" This is what it is like to have a mother." He said to Daniel, who was on the couch opposite him.
Daniel looked at Anne who was in an apron, cooking something for them. He regretted being a coward back then and overthrowing his feelings under the pressure of his friends. If he had guts, this would have been life, Anne his loving wife and, with her, a beautiful family, where he would come home to.
They both wasted their youth with the wrong people. They were meant to be together.
Joseph, on the other hand, was captivated by Heather. If he had a mother like Anne Davidson, he would do anything for her.
He initially went there for just a week, but now it was a month. Jake blew up both their phones. So many things were pending.
Heather wanted to introduce Zach to Joseph but never got a chance. Zach had already approved of Daniel.
He noticed the positive changes in his mother. He straight away knew that something was the factor. It was a random call when she mentioned Daniel.
" Mom, where were you? I tried calling you, and your phone was busy. "
" I was talking to Nicky. I apologise,"
He noticed his mum dressed up with a little make-up.
Wow, mum, you look very beautiful nowadays.
Well, it's your love.
Mum, I wanted to tell you something
Go on . He was hesitant but spoke. His mother should know.
Dad married Marissa a few months back.
Hmm.
That was the only response. Zach thought she would be upset.
I already knew Claire sent me the video.
She is a nasty bitch.
Zach your language. It is already months now. I do not care. Did Rose attend the wedding? She asked out of curiosity.
No, she was not even invited.
What was her reaction?
She was upset but had come to terms that Marissa was part of Aaron's life. It will take time to realize that we were never his priority.
Zach, he is your father. You cannot deny that.
Well, he tried contacting me. I had a very formal talk with him. Zach always felt Aaron was unapproachable. His mom was his closest aide.
