Daniel saw Alex looking at his wife. The possessive beast in him was awakened.

"Alexander, she is my wife. He was not friends with Alexander as he was his junior but his cousin Sebastian Crawley was his best friend."

"Sorry. Can you both step aside? He requested. The group of four people distanced from the crowd."

"By any chance, you know Marissa? He asked Anne."

"Anne was surprised to hear Marissa's name."

"Marissa is my estranged half-sister and also my ex-husband's mistress-turned-wife."

"I am Alexander Crawford the unfortunate ex-husband of Marissa."

Are you Heather?

"Yes, I am Heather Anne Davison but now Mrs Anne Crawley. Ditched my first name."

"You look familiar to Maissa and you are nothing like she described. I am sorry I never got a chance to meet you."

"Marissa is with your ex-husband.? Seb was in shock."

Heather nodded.

"That explains why she initiated the sudden divorce. She was cheating for god knows how long."

"What do you mean? Daniel asked."

"Marissa was not faithful to me two years before the divorce."

Heather then recalled her doubt was right Aaron was cheating on her right under her nose and she had no clue about it.

"You knew about your wife's infidelity then why did you give her such a big alimony? "His cousin Sebastian asked.

"I was forced to." Alex was unable to answer and left the event abruptly in embarrassment as if avoiding any questions about his divorce.

"Your stepfamily is something. "Daniel said to Heather.

"There is something that Alexander is hiding anyway, It's his personal life. Anne, I don't like if anybody attaches your name with that bastard Aaron." Daniel was angry.

"Daniel, it is our day why do we need to remember unimportant people?"

"you are right my love."

The rest of the night was very pleasant. Iris and Nathanial told everyone about Heather's achievements.

She did everything on her own. She is an inspiration.

Few did not like Anne because Daniel dated their daughters but never married.

"Daniel tell me exactly how many women you dated?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Most of the ladies mentioned you dating their daughters briefly."

"That was all thing of the past."

"Anne glared at him. No wonder my brother still disapproves of you."

But you approved me. This is what that matters. He kissed her cheek. She was surprised and embarrassed at the same time.

"Daniel could have got any young girl." They heard someone's voice from behind.

"Mrs Hutchinson Anne is younger than your daughter. Daniel came from behind. The woman was startled.

"You got me wrong Daniel. She has grown-up children and Jospeh is there too. Later they may fall out because of your wealth."

The woman's words caught everyone's attention.

"That will never happen. Zach replied whatever is Daddy's belongs only to Joseph and we have no claim to it. I can create my own identity.
