the first activity was all about racing to the finishing line with a few missions like the amazing race. thank god both of us were not competitive with the whole game, instead we were just bickering to each other.
"careful love, i sure don't want to fall on the ground with you." and well, to put more intensity to the game, all of us had to wear handcuffs with our partner. I extended my free hand for her, but she rolled her eyes playfully.
"oh such a gentleman," with playful sarcasm coating her words, "don't worry there darling, i will make sure you'll be safe and sound until the end of this game." she held my hand anyway while we were crossing the wooden bridge. "funny that you don't want to win though," she said.
i looked at her with a grin, "i don't know, it's just—" i was trying to think of any words that make sense but I just couldn't put a finger to my own reason, "you know—" i wanted to shrug it off but she waiting for me.
"is it because you don't trust my capabilities?"
"what?"
"well, i don't know! maybe because i don't seem strong enough to win this race with you?" i was waiting for her to laugh but she remained frowning without looking at me, "it's not like we ended things 10 years ago..." she muttered under her breath, "if you want to win...never mind."
I couldn't hide my smile as she just remained silent while walking beside me. i knew exactly why she was angry, i wanted to apologise and tell her why i didn't want to win but she looked so cute—I was controlling myself to not hug her.
"THE LAST TEAM WILL HAVE TO CLEAN THE DISHES FOR DINNER!" both of us covered our ears when the instructor was shouting behind us. "TEAMWORK, STRENGTH, WISDOM, INTELLIGENCE, CHARISMA!" he kept on shouting while running pass us.
"I thought wisdom and intelligence has the same meaning," I blurted out without giving a damn that i might sounded dumb. she finally looked at me over her shoulder, "I'm not lying like it has the same exact point, about knowledge, right?"
she stopped me from walking and looked me in the eyes, "wanker. wisdom is your knowledge quality, and intelligence is the knowledge you apply." she waited for me to understand her but i was way dumber than she thought i was.
i just shook my head because i was honestly lost. with that, she burst into her cute chuckle—there was just so many things i missed hearing from her; the wanker, her giggle, literally her any form of laughs.
"I didn't want to win the race because I want to spend a longer time with you." I waited for her to respond but instead, she just stared into my eyes. slowly her cheeks her reddening, so she diverted her eyes.
she stepped a side, "come on, i don't want to wash the whole dishes—"
"but i want to wash the dishes with you tonight."
"oh well love, we have the opposite wishes." and then, she just walked ahead without saying anything, well i did hear a few murmuring about her heart.
at the end of the day, luck was on my side and we ended up being the second last group. thus, there would be four people to wash dishes for dinner. "I hate you, I hope you know that jungkook."
