hyemi
"hyemi," I turned around when my mum called me out, and then she sighed. "do you mind wearing something more ladylike?" she pleaded with her brows furrowed, I looked my clothes and told her that I was wearing a decent clothes; a white t-shirt with a baggy trousers, such comforts.
"when did you come home, by the way?" I didn't know that she arrived to Korea. she ignored my question as she kept on telling me to wear something more feminine. so I sighed and entered my room. "wow, thanks mum —" I rolled my eyes at the sight of the new beautiful frothy dress.
after I wore the dress, I untied my hair and brushed it a little just to make myself more ladylike. then, I went downstairs just to found a tall guy standing across from my mum. I shut my eyes tightly and sighed, yes, my mum was doing it again.
"oh, sweetie!" my mum raised her voice and so, I opened my eyes and smiled sweetly to her. I walked down and walked toward them. "this is bobby kim, he is my friend's son," she explained so gracefully —oh, she sounded like a queen, I could see her shimmer! ugh, I was so annoyed of her! "why don't you guys head outside and have a little talk?"
we were outside for awhile as we drank hot tea; it was too quiet—we were neither talking or looking at each other. the atmosphere around was really awkward and even though i wasn't excited but i could feel my heart beat thumping fast against my chest.
"So..." he was first to broke the silence. i lifted my head to finally look at him, i couldn't deny that he wasn't that bad, in fact he was considered as good looking in my list. his hairstyle was actually cool and his jawline was really quite hot, if i may add.
"are you sure that you want to do this?" I immediately asked, before he could continue talking. he didn't seem to understand my question though, so i asked once more. "I mean, would you even marry me?"
He flashed a smile which probably could melt any heart and then he let out a low chuckle. "Would you?" he asked back as he rose his brows as if he was amused or something. he leaned his back on the metal chair while waiting for me to answer.
but i stayed silent because the look in his eyes confused me— there was a little part of his gaze seemed like he didn't want to marry me but there was also a little pieces of him looked like he was willing to marry me. so I just sighed heavily, "honestly, no, i don't want to marry you. but would you?"
his expression changed though, he then smiled in a more friendly way which honestly intimidated me in some odd kind of way. "I actually think that i should, maybe yes, I would," he answered.
hearing him made me snorted because i couldn't help it. "Why?" i asked as i leaned my back on the metal chair as well. he seemed to notice that i was really uncomfortable with the situation.
He chuckled again. "Well, it's because of this and that," he hesitated to answer; i knew that he actually didn't want to marry me, he was good looking and it was obvious that he had a girlfriend.
