Run into the Daylight

Elle POV

On the first Sunday morning of my time at Harvard, I was lying comfortably in Noah's bed (well, let's say a little bit of mine too, now!), snuggled up to him. I could feel his arms around me. Sunday being a day off with no soccer or football practice, we had the whole day to ourselves. Something that hadn't happened since I arrived in Boston and I was excited about it. Friends had asked us out for a activity but I agreed with Noah, we need to take some time alone as a couple. If we participate in all the activities offered, we will have no time to stop and breathe.

So I was enjoying this moment of calm until I felt Noah's hand start stroking my arm up and down and then place a kiss on the top of my head. So I knew he was awake. I straightened up to stand on top of him, allowing my gaze to meet his.
- Good morning! "I said with a smile.
- Good morning, my princess," he replied, leaning in to give me a kiss. "Slept well?"
- Yes, and it feels so good to have nothing planned and only to be able to relax in bed with you. I'm glad you didn't leave me to go for a jog this morning. It allows me to enjoy your presence a little." I said, putting my hands behind his neck and pulling him over me.
- There are other things we can do to get our heart rate up, but I plan to jog with you today. " He said as he began to kiss my chin and then my neck.
- Me! Aren't you afraid I'll slow you down?
- My goal is not to do my distance in record time but to take time with you. And at the same time to be able to show you the surroundings of the campus, to go for a walk along the Charles River. With the goal of making Boston a little more of our home!
- All right! " I said with a big smile.

His smile echoed mine before he resumed his serious face and said:
- So game plan, we'll finish what you started. " He said, lifting his T-shirt that I was wearing on me. "Then shower, I'll take you to the restaurant for brunch and we'll go for a run where the wind takes us.

My smile must have been the answer he was looking for as he quickly got rid of his T-shirt. His caresses made me euphoric rise and in no time, my breathing started to quicken...

2 hours later, fresh out of the shower and dressed in sportswear, Noah and I headed to the crêperie a few blocks from the dorm. They serve beautiful pancakes and I enjoyed eating with my mouth as much as with my eyes. As I walked out of the restaurant after filling up on carbs, protein, and caffeine, Noah pulled my hand and said:
- Ok, are you ready to start our jog?
- It was a tactic of making me eat too much so that I felt like I needed to go for a jog. " I said with a pout.

He laughed at me before I said:
- So, where do we go from here?
- To the Charles River! There's a nice bike path running along it, I'm sure you'll like it.

We started jogging quietly on our way down to the Charles River. The weather was sunny with a temperature of 70 degrees which was neither too hot or too cold to run. We quickly joined the bike path by the river. I was grateful to Noah for limiting his speed to allow me to keep up with him. I wanted to take this time to soak up the atmosphere and quickly take in the scenery. We came across the Weld Boat House which I found beautiful with its red roof and beige walls. One of the big differences between Boston and LA is that Boston is a much older city that also has more history and character than Los Angeles. I love LA with its beaches and mild weather all year round. But Boston, with its colonial flair and its 4 seasons, has a new and exciting interest for me. Noah had talked to me at length last year about the beauty of autumn with the leaves turning flamboyant colors and I couldn't wait to see it with my eyes! Okay, I'm not really looking forward to getting a taste of the Siberian cold of winter but even the snow will be an experience.

A few minutes later, we arrived at a pedestrian bridge that allowed us to cross on the south bank of the river. When we got to the bridge, Noah handed me a bottle of water and we walked across the deck hand in hand. The view of the river with the bridges over it was stunning.
- It really is a beautiful place! " I said to Noah as I leaned on the railing as I caught my breath. "Conducive to romantic gestures!" I said with a wink.
- Ah, I've already made my romantic gesture par excellence!" he replied, shrugging his shoulders.
- The top of the hill, at the foot of the Hollywood letters, is still hard to beat.
- Thank you for congratulating me on my choice of location!
