Bucky's POV:
Bucky and Steve are coming home from their mission. Steve is driving them back to the tower, and Bucky is clutching his abdomen in pain. Steve hits a speed bump causing the car to jump a little and that causes Bucky to groan in pain.
"You alright?" Steve asks.
"Peachy." Bucky says sarcastically.
"We're almost back at the tower." Steve says, looking over at Bucky in concern.
When they were fighting their targets earlier today Bucky got stabbed multiple times. The wounds will be healed by the next day, still doesn't stop it hurting like a bitch though.
As Steve drives they sit in somewhat silence, besides from the music playing.
Steve looks over at Bucky again. "I've been meaning to ask, but how was that date with Aurora?"
Bucky glares at Steve. "We didn't go on a date, I took her to a forest to explore Earth." He defends.
"You say that, but you took her to your special forest. The only person you've taken there is me. You didn't even take Nat when you were dating." Steve argues.
"Your point?" Bucky grumbles.
"My point is that you like her." Steve asserts.
Bucky huffs. "So? What if I do?"
"I'm not judging you, I'm just saying you should say something if you do like her." Steve nudges Bucky playfully.
Bucky groans again, slightly from the pain of his wound, and slightly from Steve annoying him.
Steve sighs. "Are you punishing yourself again for the things you did as the Winter Soldier?"
Bucky still doesn't say anything he just stares out the window, thinking.
"Bucky, you don't need to punish yourself. The things you did as the Winter Soldier wasn't your fault." Steve reassures.
Bucky sighs. "Even so, do you think Aurora would like me if she knew the things I did?"
"There's only one way to know." Steve States. "And if she doesn't like you for who you are, then that's her mistake."
They arrive at the tower and Steve parks the car and helps Bucky out of the car and into the building. He helps Bucky onto the sofa and Bucky groans in pain again.
Suddenly the living room door opens and Steve and Bucky look over to Aurora walking in.
"Oh hey." Aurora says with a smile, but her smile quickly turns into a frown when she sees Bucky's state. "What happened?"
"Oh it's nothing to worry about princess. Just got a little hurt while fighting the bad guys." Bucky assures.
