(Declan's Pov)
Finishing up getting ready for mine and Matt's usual date night I immediately bounce in excitement because Matt says he needs to talk to me about something important I wondering what it could be. Shrugging I adjust my clothes before rushing outside when I hear Matt's truck. I hop in and buckle up then turn to Matt with a bright smile leaning forward to kiss his lips but he seems to move his head so I get his cheek instead. Frowning in confusion I go to say something when he starts driving off clearing his throat. "I was thinking we could go for a walk on a trail and talk." I look curious but nod and once we park and get out Matt starts leading me down a trail. I look around at the scenery happily when suddenly Matt clears his throat I turning to him curiously as he stops when we reach the end of the trail. "Declan I think we should stop seeing each other." My heart immediately shatters and I frown feeling upset. "Is it something I did? Was I too clingy? Did I demand too much affection?" He shakes his head no. "I just don't think we should see each other anymore." I stare at him before asking needing to know. "But why Matt? Give me one reason why because I thought we were doing great." He seems to get frustrated and snaps making me flinch away. "Because I don't want to see you anymore Declan okay?! I just can't deal with you anymore!" I feel my lip tremble and tears well up in my eyes I going to reach out to him when he gently but firmly knocks my hand away. "Don't Declan. Just don't." Tears start streaming down my face and I say in a broken pleading tone begging. "Matt please. Please don't leave me. I love you and you've made me happy to be alive again. I NEED you in my life please don't leave me." He shakes his head and turns his back to me I immediately chocking out a broken sob. "I'll call a car from the company to come get you." He then leaves without another word and I drop to my knees in extreme emotional pain I calling Matt's name trying to get him to come back. It completely fails I curling into a ball before I let out a broken scream of pain and misery. I cry and cry my eyes becoming sore and I feel completely numb I not even able to feel the freezing air. I stay curled up in that ball for hours until sunrise comes and a ranger who works the trails immediately rushes to me scooping me up and starts carrying me through the trail I having him call Abby before I pass out from emotional exhaustion and pain.
