Forgotten

June 25, 2015

A sudden knocked on her silent world made her eyes blinked for a moment. That one, hush sound from a heartbeat that once been forgotten, gradually knocked into her naive heart. She was lost, did she? She lost out of words to express herself, and she was blinded by heavy dark emotions and countless stress.

She got tired of that deafeaning sound, called 'goodbye'. In a second, she was lost again. Alone. And drowning.

That little girl almost pleaded to something that she valued the most, yet friendship wasn't that strong as she assumed it to be. One by one, her loveones left her. And there, in her silent sanctuary, her haven was no longer that kind haven that she used to know. It was empty and getting emptier.

How many times did she look up at the dark sky, searching for that moonlight but there was no moon? How many times she sighed unto the cold air, whispering her screams, but there was no one there to listen? There was none.

She looked away, beyond that horizon. Like the vast line with no end, her heart wandered.  Her emotions scattered like tears drifting somewhere in her soul. She grasped for air. Whenever she heard that farewell sound, she couldn't breathe well.

Her heart was heavy and her hands were shaking. In this cold night of June, she whimpered in her dark world. She hugged herself, laid on the solid ground, wishing that this kind of pain was only a dream.

She would count the days, and count again, then count more, wondering if how many days would she had until the pain would be over.

But she had to hide her pain, and painted her face with a smile. But the truth was, her colors were long gone. Her laughter was no longer that warm. And she, along with her words, stuck in a place called...forgotten.
