June 18, 2014 : Facing Fears
Have you ever experienced that you are stranded on a spot where you can’t move but at the same time you want to run away? Or have you ever felt that coldness of your hands and weakening of your knees as you stand there with all your guts not to faint?
It’s a feeling that you never want to feel, when every step you take is like you are taking your road towards great torment. You can feel your own blood rushing through your veins. You can hear those deafening beats of your heart. You can even taste your own bitter uncertainties but at the same time, you don’t want to go back from where you used to be.
Sometimes in life, no matter how scared you are to face your own nightmares, there comes a point that you have to face it…you need to face it. You need to wake up in your illusions and daydreams no matter how perfect it is. Life is not about how good you are in running or hiding but it’s about how good you are in dealing something that can make yourself go nuts. It’s like you are going on a roller coaster ride without a seatbelt. Scary and dangerous.
But hey! Who say life is easy?
When you feel that you are in that kind of situation, you should be brave enough to face it. It’s okay that you are frightened. It’s okay that you feel like you are on your weakest spot. Because, when you succeed to put your feet onwards after that, you will become even stronger.
After stepping over an unbreakable obstacle, you will feel something that you’ve never felt before. You will see something that you’ve never seen before. Your eyes can now see beyond limits, your understandings are way too vague, and you will never asked this stupid question that every frail soul utters….
“Why does it happen to me?”
