Simula pag-uwi, hindi na natapos ang usapan namin ni Kalon. The only time I replied late was when I took a bath and ate dinner. Mommy talked to me, finally, after eating. She told me she cut some apples for me, it was in the fridge. Alam niyang kumakain ako ng midnight snack habang nag-aaral ako. Kaya naman, dinala ko iyon pag-akyat ko.
I put the apples on my desk before sitting down and checking my phone again. Nabasa ko ang mensahe ni Kalon.
Mangundapat Kalon: ako rin, ayaw ko ng pineapple
Mangundapat Kalon: tinatanggal ko rin yon sa pizza
Mangundapat Kalon: pero umiinom naman ako ng pineapple juice

Before I ate with my parents, Kalon and I were talking about the fruits we liked. We were sort of ranking them too.
Mine went like this: Strawberry, atis, orange, and banana.
While Kalon's list was this: Mango, orange, watermelon, and banana.
We both agreed that pineapple was the worst thing to exist as a fruit. In-explain ko sa kaniya na simula pagkabata ay iniiwasan ko na 'yong prutas na 'yon dahil sa lasa. Alam ko namang may vitamin na makukuha from that, but I'd rather eat other fruits to compensate than swallow a pineapple.
I replied to Kalon before taking a bite of my peeled apple.
MJ Carreal: ako, i don't drink pineapple juice
MJ Carreal: anything that has pineapple is always going to be far from my tongue
MJ Carreal: hindi ko kaya haha
Binuksan ko ang laptop ko at magsisimula na sanang mag-aral, pero naisip kong sabihan si Kalon muna. So, I did.

I timed myself for 25 minutes and began reading for the next lessons my professor in Chemistry would teach. Nang matapos ako, pinindot ko ang five-minute timer ng laptop ko at bumaba para kumuha ng tubig dahil nalimutan kong magdala kanina.
Maki was sleeping already when I got down. Nagbuhos ako ng tubig sa isang baso at inakyat 'yon. I had two minutes left before I study again, so I checked my phone quickly. Kalon left me some messages. Binasa ko iyon at ni-react-an.

Sinara ko ang telepono ko at inilapag sa desk ko. One minute left before I begin reading again. Napalagay ako ng fist ko sa bibig ko matapos basahin ang s-in-end ni Kalon.
