The following week after my birthday, I wanted to eat the pesto I ate in the place Magnus introduced me to when Amy and Wren were also with us. I also wanted to try a different dish with that. So, after my second class, I went to Dixie's alone, that was the name of the eatery.
I put my bag on the seat beside mine and used my phone while waiting for my food. There were some notifications from my email, mukhang mayro'n na namang activities na p-in-ost ang isang prof.
I opened it.

Wren: did u guys have lunch na?
Nagtipa ako ng reply at s-in-end iyon.
MJ: i'm having lunch
MJ: right now
MJ: dixie's
Wren responded saying she'd eat with me, so it was a good thing there was still a table when I arrived.
I put my phone in my bag again and began eating. Wren came when I was on my second roll of pasta. She put her bag beside mine and entered the inside of the carinderiya to order.
"I just bought food, I'm going back to campus," my friend said when she sat down. "Why?"
"My classmates in PE suddenly wanted to meet to talk about the culminating activity," tumango ako. "What type of dance did you guys choose?"
Wren was swaying and moving so much with her partner in the dance that she spun too much and landed on the floor making the person who took the video laugh, I think it was her older brother. It was a joke in our friend group that Ballroom and Wren weren't a good match. Since that dance, Wren refused to dance any kind of ballroom routine. Tapos, galit na galit si Wren no'ng inaalala 'yong sayaw na 'yon dahil hindi man lang daw siya tinulungan ng partner niya, nagpatuloy lang daw sa sayaw 'yon—that's what made me and our other friends laugh.
"Good luck, I hope you get a good partner," biro ko bago umirap ang kaibigan at ginamit ang telepono.
Eventually, Wren left when her order arrived. The boneless chicken was okay, but I liked the meal I ordered last time kaysa rito.
I already felt full, but I didn't want to let the chicken get to waste. Kaya, nagpahinga muna ako sa pagnguya. I took out my phone from my bag and began using it, letting the food I had consumed go down, so I could finish the meal.
