Chapter 13 - One to forget

At the party

Everyone was having a great time, meeting and greeting the extended family and friends.

And like Papa Sainz mentioned Siya enter the party, not too early not too late, she dressed pretty casual yet fancy in some wide pants and a fitting sleeveless alter neck top tucked in, in contrast to some of the cocktail dresses.

She greets Mama and Papa Sainz and heads to Ana and Blanca greeting them casually and assuring them she'll be fine going around in the party as they were getting busy with guests.

She was getting herself a drink where she inevitably runs into Carlos "Oh I'm sorry" she says for almost bumping into him.

"That's okay" He says "This is my girlfriend Isa" he introduces the lady that he has his arm around.

Siya smiles gently "Hello Isa! Nice to meet you" she says leaving in for an air kiss "I'm Siya."

"Oh.... Siya right?" She says with a bright smile on her face "We've actually spoken over the FaceTime" Isa adds catching Carlos by shock

"Oh wait right! I was on a call with Ana for her birthday" she exclaims "and you were the one who organised the surprise and called me! Oh my god! So good to finally meet you in person!" Siya adds.

"Wait..... you have her number?" Carlos asks interrupting the convo.

"Yeah... I got it from Blanca. It was so great that you could help plan the surprise from so far away!" Isa adds showing how glad she was.

"All thanks to you" Siya says smiling

"That looks bad, is it hurting?" Isa asks pointing to Siya's shoulder where there was dark purple blood clot like bruise "I'm sorry I didn't intend to point out like that."

"Oh no that's okay. It's not as bad as it looks like. It should be fine." Siya shrugs it off not wanting to look at Carlos' expression or how he felt about actually giving her the bruise during the fight.

"I'll see you guys around! I see other guests are wanting to talk as well. Congratulations on Ferrari Carlos" she says and walks away upon hearing his little thank you.

Carlos was the star of the evening, and everybody gathered to celebrate him. He was pretty occupied with having to socialise with people.

Sr. notices this and calls him into the house away from the outdoors where the party was happening.

"Yes papa?" Carlos asks walking into the balcony of his dad's study

"Oh hold on one second" he says walking out taking a phone call.

Carlos stays in the balcony waiting for his dad, he stares at the sunset while doing so. He suddenly hears a noise from inside the office and turns around.

"Where is it?" Siya mumbles looking around the office not noticing Carlos was in the balcony.

"Are you looking for something?" Carlos asks

"Oh, I didn't see you there" she says surprised "Mr. Sainz requested me to get his phone that he left here" she continues looking around.

Carlos remembers his dad walking away with his phone, so he understands that it was Sr.'s attempt to give them a moment without turning too many heads.

"Can we talk for a moment?" Carlos asks

"Sure! Can you call his phone real quick" she says kinda dodging the situation.

"Siya my dad has his phone" Carlos says calmly

"Oh-" she realises the plot "then I have to leave" she says quickly
