Back to present - In the flight from Abu Dhabi to Madrid

Recap - Siya looks into his eyes, they both knew something that they would probably mention in this situation, which would ultimately lead to this particular question from Siya, no matter how unrelated it may seem. "How are dealing with the break up?"

It's a question that states that Carlos made his choice back then and Siya made her choice on how to deal with things, which both seem not to be the best decision they have made.

There was a visible pain in Carlos' eyes. He just kept looking at her trying to find words to answer the question. The question that he felt like it came along with 1000s of sub questions, that Siya was probably shooting at him.

"Better than how I had to deal with you leaving" he says with a thin layer of tears slightly surfacing in his eyes.

A series of incidents from the past begin to run through their heads right after she hears his answer.

Present -

Carlos and Siya's eyes were locked to eachother as the quick flashes of their past ran through their heads.

Carlos notices a scar on her right eye brow "Did you always have that scar?" He asks pointing to it.

"Yes" she says "I got it when I was 3, I tried to cover it up when I was younger but now I have grown to embrace it" she smiles.

"Are you going to be living in Madrid?" He asks

"Yes, That's the plan" She smiles and he nods.

"Agh! That was good nap" Sainz Sr. makes his way towards them stretching "Do you mind if I join?" he ask looking at both of them.

"Of course not!" Siya exclaims smiling back and emptying the seat beside her.

"What am I missing?" Onaro joins them as well

"Siya just told that she'll be living in Madrid" Carlos says

"Oh really?" Onaro asks "That's nice!" He adds " Well that would change things from being the one that disappeared right?" He says nudging Carlos with his elbow, referring to Carlos' words from couple of years ago.

Carlos mildly kicks Onaro's foot while Siya asks "What?" with a mild chuckle.

"Siya, I have always been wanting to ask you, how did everything in MIT go? It's been what 9 years now, what are you doing right now?" Carlos Sr. tries to change the topic, being a little sensitive about Siya and Carlos' past.

"It was great! I started with journalism and tried exploring other ways. Then picked a polar opposite subject and got a masters degree in both of them. I had a gap with work though, because I eventually had to make the trip to India." She says turning back to the time when her dad passed away.

"Oh I'm so sorry about your dad" Sr. adds "How did your visit to India go? We were all concerned when we got a call asking for your whereabouts" he says with a frown on his face

"Especially that you do things by yourself, we didn't even know how you were holding up disappearing like that." He adds

"I'm sorry Mr. Sainz" Siya sighs "Looking back, there are a lot of things that I should have handled differently. But I didn't know all the stuff that I know now, so I was scared to trust anyone." She apologises with all honesty, yet keeping the details out.

"That's okay Siya" Sr. Sainz sighs " I hope you trust us now"

"I do" Siya immediately assures him "I have always did. Without your family's help I wouldn't have achieved what I achieved. I'm deeply grateful." She says placing both her palms on Papa Sainz's hand as a gesture.
