Chapter 30 - Getting Tangled

"Siya! what the hell!" he bolts down the stairs on the porch and the police puts his gun back in.

"Miss are you okay?" The police approaches her worried.

"Yes sir. I am" She responds blankly

"Lets go in first" Carlos drags her inside with an arm around her doing his best to keep her warm. He immediately bring out a bunch of towels and puts them on her to dampen the water.

"I'm okay officer. I went out for an evening stroll and lost my way back. My phone died too." She says pulling her phone out from her backpack.

The police nods buying into her story "Alright we'll take a leave now. Like I said we'll me around making rounds if you need us" he assures before leaving.

Carlos closes the door and locks it. He turns around to be ambushed by Siya into a massive hug, burying her face onto his neck.

He hugs back doing the same.

"Siya" he pauses "I thought you left"

"I promised that I won't do that Jr. Remember?"

"I do" he says tightening his grip around her.

"Aren't you mad? That I went out like that, irresponsible without charging my phone-"

"No" Carlos interrupts her question and states his answer "I'm glad that you're here with me now. Please be careful next time." He says gently

"We need to leave. We can catch the next flight. I'm going to go change real quick"

"Where's your luggage?" Carlos questioned

"I left it on the porch before I left for the walk. I didn't want to pack after I came"

Carlos checks on the porch and there indeed was her suitcase. He wondered how he missed that before and what would have happened if he didn't look for her thinking that she could have just left like in the past.

They head out to the airport immediately and catch the next flight to their next destination.

The rest of the trip carried on smoothly. They had some adventurous activities planned, zip lining, diving, water sports and so on. On the contrary they went on to cooking classes, wine and paint sessions making each other little memorable souvenirs of their love.

Before ending their trip Carlos agreed to meet up with Charles, Pierre who live in Italy and Lando and Max who were also close by enjoying their vacation.

They were on a yacht, enjoying a day in the sun. Everybody was with their respective girlfriends and couple of close friends were also invited.

One of the girls who was also laying out in the sun beside Siya tries to start up a conversation "Must be nice to be sitting out in the sun and not getting a sun burn"

Siya turns head towards her with her sunglasses still on, she had a bikini on with a over sized Lenin button up, as an overcoat.

"Are you talking to me?"

"Yes...." The girl chuckles

"Oh yeah, perks of having melanin I guess. Better and effortless Vitamin D absorption." She shrugs laying back

"Yeah I wish I had that tan skin. You look gorgeous" she praises

"Thank you! You look stunning yourself too!" Siya compliments her back, the girl was indeed gorgeous.

"I need some tan and I don't mind some complimentary vitamin D" the girl says laying back down.

"Oh you tell me! I think it's high time I get some vitamin D" Siya brings out her bold sarcasm twisting her speech when she said Vitamin D.
