twenty-one

jeongin puffed out his cheeks as he let out a long exhale. he grabbed the sleeve of his oversized shirt to wipe the sweat off his forehead, moving his hands to support his lower back as he examined the dorm with a satisfied expression on his face.

he adjusted the waistband of his- well, seungmin's- sweat shorts as he waddled over to the kitchen for a much needed glass of cold water.

"hm, what do you say we take a nice shower then finish up?" he gently caressed his belly, making his way towards the bathroom.

jeongin turned on the water, letting the bathroom steam up with the warmth, removing the articles of clothing from before.

he stepped in the shower, immediately going under the warm water, allowing the pressure to help his aching body. with almost being due any day now and cleaning everything like crazy definitely had his body yelling at him to sit back and relax.

once he finished up, he turned off the water and carefully got out, wrapping the towel securely around himself, waddling his way to his bedroom.

jeongin stood in front of his full length mirror after getting dressed in his oversized shirt and sweatpants- it's the only thing that fits him now- after lathering his skin with lotion, hiking his shirt up to rest above his belly, smiling brightly at it.

"this is your papa's favorite thing to do, but he's working right now so it's just me, baby girl," he cooed as he grabbed his usual products and began applying on his belly lovingly, feeling small fluttering movements as he did so.

"okay now time finish up what we were doing," jeongin reminded himself as he pulled his shirt back down, a beeping sound filling the dorm.

he made his way into the laundry room, grabbing the clean hamper and started to put the clean clothes into the hamper.

"your clothes smell so pretty, and they're so tiny," jeongin giggled as he grabbed a small onesie and put it close to his nose to sniff. he already had a few bottles of baby detergent set up in their laundry room for their baby girl, loving the way it smelled and not wanting to ever run out of it.

he then grabbed the hamper once he finished putting the last of the clothing, balancing it on his hip before walking back to his room.

jeongin was so busy humming to himself as he folded, hung and put aside clothes for the hospital bag that he didn't hear the front door being unlocked, opened and closed again, until he felt a pair of arms snake around his waist, making the poor boy jump a bit.

"hello, darling," seungmin softly said as he planted his hands on jeongin's protruded belly, face nuzzling in the crook of his neck.

"you scared me," jeongin pouted as he placed his hands over seungmin's.

"sorry, innie," the older boy chuckled as he placed a small kiss on his shoulder, "what were you up to today? i noticed you cleaned the dorm, i hope you're not overworking yourself."

"no, i promise i took it easy," jeongin smiled at seungmin's concern, "just cleaned up a bit, showered and finished washing baby girls clothes. i also finished packing her hospital bag."

"you're so cute, baby," seungmin's breath on jeongin's neck sent shivers down his spine, "you know, i was able to convince the boys to stay out late so we can enjoy today in peace."

"oh really?" jeongin closed his eyes as seungmin's lips feathered kissed on his neck and shoulder.

"yes," seungmin continued kissing him, rubbing his nose against the soft skin, "i already have your favorite meal waiting for us in the dining room, then we could watch a movie, relax, whatever you want to do~."

jeongin turned around, hooking his arms around seungmin's shoulders, fingers running through his hair on his nape, seungmin's hands trailing down to his waist.

"go shower then we can eat and relax," jeongin laughed as he gave him a long, sweet kiss.

"yes, lovely, wait here," seungmin teased as he snuck another quick kiss before running to the bathroom.

jeongin let out a breathy smile as he made his way to the bed, sitting as comfortably as he could as he waited for his lover.

soon after, seungmin came back showered and dressed, guiding jeongin to the dining table with a blindfold on.

"okay, i'm going to take this off now, but keep your eyes closed," seungmin untied the blindfold and kept his hands over his eyes.

once he made sure everything looked perfect, he removed his hands, smiling brightly at him, "happy birthday, baby, last one celebrating as two."

jeongin put a hand over his mouth, eyes getting a bit teary as he looked at seungmin with a surprised expression, "minnie.. thank you, this is so beautiful!"

seungmin had his current favorite meal laid out, along with his favorite drink, a vase with a beautiful combination of violet, iris, and primrose flowers- he couldn't just pick one birth flower for his month- and a few beautifully lit candles. it was absolutely perfect in jeongin's eyes. he could tell how much thought seungmin put into it.

jeongin pulled him as close as he could, hugging him tightly before giving him a sweet kiss, "thank you so much."

"anything for the love of my life," seungmin felt his ears get hot, "let's eat."

"you hit a bit of a growth spurt, baby," seungmin mumbled in awe as he caressed jeongin's belly, which was currently pressed against his own bare torso as they cuddled, "your skin adjusted so well too."

"yes, she did! i've only been able to wear sweats for the last two weeks. i can't use any of my actual jeans anymore," jeongin blushed as he laid a hand on the side of his belly, wearing only underwear and seungmin's oversized shirt hiked up to the top, glistening with moisturizer, "and thank you, but it's mainly from you always keeping it nice and hydrated with all the creams and oils you put on it. not one stretch mark in sight. not that i would mine though, it's a reminder my body did an amazing job of keeping our baby girl healthy and cozy with making her home spacious enough."

"i'd do it over and over if i could," seungmin gave him a soft peck, "you look so beautiful and radiant, baby."

"thank you, seungminnie," jeongin furiously blushed, "i'm gonna miss this, having her in my belly, but i also can't wait to have her here with us in our arms."

"me too," seungmin smiled.

jeongin cuddled closer into seungmin's warmth, nuzzling his face in his chest, "thank you, for everything. i had such an amazing day. i love you."

seungmin looked down at jeongin, noticing how the boy was falling asleep, "no need to thank me. i love you too, innie, happy birthday once again, my darling."
