seungmin was woken up by a fast, quiet whirling sound. he blinked a few times to adjust his vision and looked over to where the sound was.

"what the?" seungmin sat up, confused. "innie, what are you doing?"

"i'm hot," jeongin whined, moving the fan in circular motion around his face, his bangs flying in different directions. "like really, really hot."

the older boy turned on the lamp from his bedside table and got a good look at what his dongsaeng was doing. jeongin was sprawled out on the bed on top of the blankets with the fan in his face.

seungmin frowned as he touched his lovers forehead, not feeling any abnormal body temperature, just the smallest bit of sweat.

"you don't seem to have a fever.." seungmin tilted his head slightly, "are you nervous for the event tomorrow?"

"just a little," jeongin sat up a bit, fan still blowing in his face, "not too nervous though. i've been getting hot randomly for like the past week. and having to pee a lot too."

"why didn't you say anything?" seungmin put his hand on jeongin's knee.

"i didn't want to worry you," jeongin shrugged shyly, "besides, the hotness goes away fairly quick. and i think it's just performance jitters. i'm sure it'll all go away once it's all over."

jeongin kissed seungmin's cheek and smiled sheepishly at him as seungmin reached over to turn off the light while he said, "let's go back to sleep. we have to be up in a few hours."

"okay." jeongin nodded and cuddled up next to seungmin, with the fan propped up in front of him.

"my abs are gone, too," jeongin mumbled into seungmin's chest, not looking at seungmin.

seungmin opened an eye, "what?"

"my abs are gone," jeongin sighed, sounding more clear.

seungmin opened both eyes and picked his head up a bit to look at jeongin better. "baby, look at me. it's ok! the event has been taking a lot of our time and it's been taking a toll on you. once it's over, you can go to the gym again like you love to do, i'll even go with you, ok? you're still the most amazing person i've ever laid my eyes on. you're beautiful innie."

jeongin blushed and kissed seungmin's cheek once again, "thank you, minnie. i really needed to hear that. i appreciate you so much."

and with smiles on both on their faces, they finally went back to sleep.

"you look amazing, innie!" felix beamed at the shy boy.

the others heard and turned their attention to jeongin. he blushed from all of his hyung's looking at him.

"innie, you're seriously glowing," han gaped at the boy.

"new skincare??" hyunjin questioned as he got a better look at the maknae.

"i- uh- no it's the same routine," jeongin stuttered, "but thank you, hyungs."

"okay guys we're up!" chan excited exclaimed, everyone following their leader to their spots.

"hello, STAY!" the members greeted into the microphones, the event started before they knew it.

they started a bit easier with 'case 143' making the crowd scream with excitement. jeongin's nerves were calming down as they performed more songs. the next one was the view.

as they sang, jeongin suddenly felt like he saw the song in a different perspective. he wasn't sure of the new feeling he felt with seungmin but he knows now how much he likes him and how comfortable he is with him.

he looked over at seungmin as they all sang together, making eye contact with the older boy, meaning the words that escaped his lips.

after a few songs, they decided to start the solo song or songs with a few members. jeongin was grateful because all of the dancing and singing was tiring him more than usual. he was just thankful his bladder didn't betray him so far.

"i think we're singing 'gone away' next guys," han whispered to jeongin and seungmin as they watched hyunjin and bang chan sing 'red lights.'

the three boys were up, singing their song. another song that jeongin viewed differently. the raw emotions the three put into singing the song was making jeongin emotional. his eyes teared up a bit as he looked at his two hyungs.

he glanced over at seungmin, never wanting to lose him. he's only sang about heartbreak but never experienced it, and he never wants to. seungmin made him feel things no one ever had, making him fall head over heels. he loves him.

they finished the song, the three joined each other in a group hug, jeongin letting the quiet tears slip as he quickly wiped them away. stupid emotions.

they moved on to their harder choreographed songs and jeongin mentally prepared himself. 'maniac' was first up, he got through that with no problem. secondly, 'god's menu' which tired him a bit but not enough to stop.

they got to 's-class' and towards the end, jeongin stumbled on a step but quickly regained his balance without anyone noticing.

"are you ok?" chan whispered during their part with minho. nothing goes past their leader, jeongin knew that.

jeongin nodded and put on a smile, but mentally yelled at himself for being clumsy.

the song ended, and jeongin felt super tired and hot. he had a small cramp on his lower abdomen, trying to control his breathing. seungmin handed him a water and threw an arm around his shoulders.

they finished up their event, saying goodbye to STAY, and headed towards the backstage, incredibly proud of themselves.

jeongin immediately plopped down on the couch, breathing heavily as he drank the rest of the water seungmin handed to him.

"are you ok?" he looked up to see han with worried eyes. "you're breathing really hard and you look exhausted."

"yes i'm ok, just trying to cool down," jeongin smiled as he grabbed his handheld fan, his breathing regulating as the cool air hit him, "hannie hyung don't worry, i'm fine. see, i just needed to cool off."

jisung softly pitched his cheek before smiling big at him.

"lets go home everyone" chan smiled as they all grabbed their belongings and walked out.

they were on their way when hyunjin suddenly suggested getting fast food, making everyone agree.

jeongin heard and his hunger was immediately woken up, suddenly wanting everything on the menu. he obviously didn't, but his appetite was small from how exhausted he'd been these days, the food sounded so good.

seungmin smiled at how happy he got with the food, and couldn't contain himself to kiss the back of his hand. luckily no one saw them, and so he intertwined their hands together.
