twenty-three

"ready to go?" seungmin started up the car, looking back at jeongin in the back seat, who was looking down at their sleeping baby girl who was sleeping peacefully in her car seat.

"yeah," jeongin smiled up at seungmin, taking baby eunae's tiny hand in his, "let's go home."

and so the new family went on their way home, with seungmin driving extra careful, right at the speed limit and jeongin in the back with their baby girl, eyes never leaving her as he cooed at how her entire tiny hand clutched onto his slim finger.

he adored her in awe as he took in her small features. tiny baby weighing in at six pounds, five ounces, and eighteen inches long. big, round puppy-like eyes and full pouty lips like seungmin, dimples on each cheeks accompanied by a small nose that resembled jeongin's so much. a head full of fluffy jet black hair, and soft pale skin. she was absolutely beautiful.

before they knew it, they were at the dorms. seungmin got out and went to grab the car seat, then went to help the younger boy get out of the car.

"easy, i got you," seungmin held onto jeongin's waist as they walked to the dorms with slow, steady steps.

jeongin genuinely could not keep his eyes off of seungmin. the way his arms flexed as he carried the car seat with ease and had the baby backpack on his back. the way he kept his hand on the younger boys waist the whole time they walked at jeongin's pace given that he was still very sore and recovering.

jeongin even noticed how seungmin gave more of a 'dad vibe' with his black hoodie, grey jogger sweats, white crew socks with dad sneakers topped off with a backwards hat. everything screamed i'm a dad! and jeongin loved every minute of it.

jeongin was in love all over again.

"hyung," the shorter boy looked at seungmin with playful eyes, "you can't keep looking that good carrying the car seat, we can't have two under two."

"the dad vibe looks great on me, doesn't it," seungmin smirked, kissing the shorter boys temple.

seungmin let go of jeongin to unlock the door, letting him enter the house first before following along. they were met with a quiet house as they threw off their shoes, shortly making their way to the living room.

"welcome home!"

the couple were greeted by a whisper shout from their hyungs, who were standing in the middle of the living room with huge smiles on their faces. they had decorated it with a baby pink 'welcome home eunae' banner along with pink streamers.

jeongin looked at them with a wobbly smile and tear filled eyes as seungmin crouched down to pick the sleeping baby out of the car seat, placing her safely in jeongin's extended arms, "eunnie, look at what your uncles did for you. aren't they the best."

he had her facing the rest of the group as he sniffled, tears of joy flowing down his cheeks. given that he just gave birth two days ago, he was still very emotional.

the boys cooed at him as they walked over to him, giving him little hugs, mainly to get a closer look at baby eunae once jeongin passed her over to their awaiting arms.

seungmin smiled softly at jeongin as he walked into their room, walking over to join him on their bed.

"hey, baby," seungmin kissed the top of his head when he dipped his knee on the mattress, then kissing eunae's exposed head, who was hungrily
drinking from jeongin's puffy chest, "drinking mommy's yummy milk huh?"

eunae's sleepy eyes blinked up at him, recognizing her papa's voice, making the two coo at her.

"she's eating so well," jeongin softly said, looking down at their baby, "still feels so surreal having her here with us."

"our first night home as a family," seungmin looked at jeongin with adoration in his eyes.

the two sat in comfortable silence, seungmin caressing his index finger along his daughter's jet black filled hair, watching her fight her sleep as she continued to drink from jeongin's milk.

"i'll burp her," seungmin enthusiastically grabbed baby eunae as soon as her lips unlatched from jeongin's nipple, "you're already doing so much for her. such an amazing mommy."

jeongin blushed as he fixed his shirt, "thank you, hyung. i couldn't do any of this without you."

the taller boy got up, placing eunae onto her crib after she burped and got her goodnight kisses from her parents, falling asleep instantly with a full belly.

"i can't believe she was in my tummy just two days ago," jeongin dreamily sighed as he snuggled into seungmin's bare chest.

"and now she's here with us, happy and healthy thanks to your hard work," seungmin's hand made its way towards jeongin's waist, holding him ever-so-softly.
