I just got out of the car at the track , I was a bit late because I spent a bit more time with Alexia before she had to leave for school again. I finally gave her my present that i bought her. It is a bracelet that sends vibrations back and forth. If she taps hers , hers will vibrate once but mine will vibrate 3 times for i miss you . And vise versa. When I gave Charles his he was so happy about it . Now the 3 of us each have 2 bracelets i have one for Charles and one for Alexia .
I pressed my bracelet just to let Charles know that I'm here , since he is on the track for qualifying. I walked to the paddock entrance where Joris was waiting for me with my pass. I gave him a side hug and scanned the pass to get in. We made small talk on our way to the garage while i stopped and took pictures with the people that asked.When we made it to the garage I saw that Charles's car was in the gar age. I was given a headset when I heard.
Engineer: Tenisha is here Charles.
Charles: I know dont worry
It made me smile I'm just glad these stuff work actually.I pressed the bracelet to send one to Alexia and I immediately got one back. But then the vibration from my other band came through and i smiled even wider.He went back on track for Q2 . I saw a girl come into the garage with one of Carlos's trainers. We made eye contact and she gave me a smile which I returned. She made her way over to me and i took the headphones off. "Hey I'm Rebecca, I've seen you in Austin I just never got the time to introduce myself" she spoke up and I told her it was okay. "I'm Tenisha , one of Char's friends " I introduced myself to and she stood next to me to get her headset too.
We chatted and got to know eachother and I didn't even notice that Q2 was done already. " Oh so you're the Tenisha thar Charles can't get enough of?" She asked out of the blue and i looked at her confused.
"He just loves talking about you , but its always with a smile on his face . I think he likes you" she explained making me laugh under my breath while looking at his car. "He had a lot going on , I don't want to just make it more for him" I admitted and she placed her hand on my shoulder. "Maybe you can be the one to make everything better for him , maybe even just a bit more bearable " she replied with a sympathetic smile.
I grew up in a house where I was always the second choice , I lived in my brother's shadow even if I'm older than him. I want to be someone's first choice for once , and if someone can't do that then , I'll rather be alone.
"I see some unhealed childhood problems and I understand sorry for saying that" she apologized and I shook my head with a smile. "I'm new to all of this , this lifestyle and all the attention so I'm just unsure of stuff and I still owe Charles 55 thousand dollars" i explained and her eyes widened at that amount. "He payed my college fees for my last year for my degree so now I'm paying him back" i explained and she just nodded. "We met almost a month ago , it was kind of bittersweet " i smiled down at my hands , do I like him? Probably but I won't admit it first. "That smile tells me everything I need to know " is all she said before looking at the screen. I laughed under my breath also looking at the screen.
