So the next day after the whole Shane talk arrived, and apparently Mono took Shane back to the library. I guess we could still see him, but separately, so we don't cause any suspicion. During the night I tried to comprehend what Shane was trying to say, but I couldn't help but wonder what was going on with him and not leaving his room. It felt really odd and I just want to know why.

And that reminds me, I still haven't explained my situation to Shane yet. Mono took away the laptop before I could even talk about it.

I'll just find out another time. Let's just hope that Mono doesn't have another motive for us today, because I think it's all going too quick. Mono cannot stand his boredom at all, and it's clearly obvious.

Sighing, I went out of my hut and walked over to Lauren's, because I had nothing to do. I thought she had something else to say about Shane, but never got around to saying it because of Monogram's rude disturbance.

I knocked on her door, and she quickly opened it.

"Yes Ash? Do you need anything?" Lauren asked, letting me in.

"No, but I just wanted to ask if you had anything else to say about Shane being on that laptop I found yesterday. It kinda seemed like you did." I replied, sitting down on Lauren's bed.

"N-No, I didn't have anything else to say. Why did you just come here now? You could have asked me later instead of coming here to ask. Unless you have anything else to ask, then I'd be happy to try and answer." Lauren said, sitting down in a chair.

"I don't have anything else to ask you, Lauren, it's because I'm bored." I replied.

"Oh. Well that's  explainable." Lauren said, sighing.

"Do you want to go somewhere today? Maybe explore a little more?" I asked, laying down.

"I'm not in the mood, Ash. I think we've explore most of the island, but I don't feel like exploring more."

"I don't even like exploring anyways... I don't know why I even asked that question either..." I replied, yawning.

"Well, there is something we could investigate..." Lauren said, looking at her desk.

"What?" I asked, sitting back up.

"I'll show you, but somewhere a bit private that Monogram can't really see us." Lauren whispered.

"Well, okay... lead the way."

"Well, I guess the beach cabana porch is fine. The beach camera can barely see us and the only cabana camera is inside." Lauren said as we walked over to the cabana.

"If you say so. So, what do you have that is suspicious enough for us to investigate?" I asked.

"It's this thing here." Lauren said, pulling out a knife.

I backed away a little, in case Lauren tried to swing it at me.

"So, uh, a knife? What's that supposed to mean? Where did you get it?" I asked.

"I-I don't know..." Lauren said. "I just, found it I guess."

"W-Wait, that blade is tinted.. green, and it looks like it was made from an actual jewel..." I said, recognizing the blade.

"Do you recognize it?" Lauren asked, holding out the blade towards me.

"Y-Yeah... I do... While we were in the classroom, when the quake shook, this black silhouette appeared, holding this same blade. I think it stabbed me with it but there's no mark. And I think that's the same shadow guy Mono was talking about." I explained, taking the weapon.
