oops I didn't expect this chapter to be so lengthy
like a thousand words in and the dinner party hasn't even begun yet
no wonder it took so long to write smh
then again I realized apparently wrote a chapter with 3,000 words
and also take note that for people who have read this story before this chapter is posted, that lauren now has a gun, not a knife
ok bye

Lauren's POV
I stood up and sighed, leaving the broken laptop. I started to head towards the location of the dinner party.
Why would Shane be so clueless about interfering with this situation?
Shane came out of nowhere. For some reason he's stuck in his own room, and doesn't know why.
And he acts as if he knows every inch of this island.
I should have known that he was trouble.
But then again, he's just as clueless as the rest of us when we were all thrown here.
He's no different.
Except that I get the feeling that he's not.

I got out the communication device from my pocket. The others who survived the earthquake that destroyed the hideout were now in some hidden place on the island.
"Allyson, you there or something?" I spoke into the device.
"Yeah, I'm here Lauren." I head a reply from the device moments after my request.
"Any sign from the despair duo?" I asked, referring to the two girls that completely killed off three lives and ruined the other ones.
"No, not at all. You said that Megan is currently distracted with the whole Shane deal, right?" Allyson questioned.
"Yeah. By the time that Jeewoo gets to you, she's probably in Shane's hands- I mean Shane. Shane's in Megan's hands. Right?"
"Very smooth, Lauren."
"Yes, I know. I am very smooth."
"So you actually implied that Shane would be carrying Megan in his arms then, well I think that's actually adorable-"
