First Kiss

"So what you're saying is, your phone fell to the ground and the screen cracked."

The guy at the shop held the phone as he examined it's screen. "Yeah...how long will it take to fix?" Bella asked as she looked at him.

"I'll get it fixed by today. It's not a serious crack. It hasn't damaged the screen" The guy replied, rummaged through his drawer.

Bella looked up to see the clock hung at the wall which read 5:00 pm.

"Can I get it by 7?" Bella asked as she placed both her hands on the glass counter. "Yeah sure thing."

Bella smiled. "Thank you very much! I'll pay you when we return"

Bella and Kane walked out the store. Kane whistled a tune as he swung his bike keys through his fingers.

Bella's attention went to his long and slender fingers, and then to his hands, which had a criss cross of veins.

Her gaze went up his arm, his bulging biceps. His sleeve seemed to strain under the pressure.

THUNG. Bella felt a shooting pain in her forehead. She squealed and looked up to see a metal pole in front of her.

Kane began to laugh. His laughter made her stomach burst into millions of butterflies. "Now's not the time to simp for his laughter"

Bella scowled at Kane and rubbed her forehead. "What?!!" Her annoyed voice only made Kane laugh even more.

"Girliepop you have to concentrate on your surroundings a lot more." Kane smiled as he whisked her hand away from her forehead and began to rub it himself.

Bella immediately felt hot all over as she saw his face so close to hers. Without her knowledge, her hand went up to touch his face.

Kane froze in his actions as he felt her hand in his cheek. Bella's eyes fell on Kane's lips and Kane found himself looking at her lips as well.

"KISS! KISS! KISS!!" Both of them immediately sprang away from each other as a voice emerged in the opposite side of the street.

They looked at the direction to see a young boy who looked excitedly at them while being dragged away by his mother.

"MOM I SWEAR THEY WERE ABOUT TO KISS" Bella chuckled as Kane pulled away. "Can we go on that date now?" He asked, rubbing the back of his neck with an awkward smile on his lips.

"So...what do you do for a living?"

Both sat across each other at a coffee shop. Bella picked up her latte as she replied "I'm a Maths graduate working as a teacher at the local school."

"Interesting...do you like math?" Kane took a sip of his caramel machiato, awaiting Bella's answer.

"I guess so...Maths is something tha comes for me I guess." Bella replied as she sipped her latte.
