I look out the window to see Carl and Edin holding hands, laughing. I can hear his laugh, ringing through my ears, without really hearing it. A single tear rolls down my cheek as I think about how him and I will never be together. Talk about friend zone. I mean sure, we're friends, but I want so much more with him. I think it's called...unrequited love. Yeah. That's it. It's like I'm falling for a ghost, someone who's never gone be there to catch me like I needed caught. Maybe he'll catch me, but I'll slip through his fingertips. I curl up in bed, get under the covers and just think. Think about Carl. That's all I do now a days. I soon hear someone run up the stairs real fast, deep, muffled sobs. I open my door to see Carl slam his. I knock softly. "Carl?" I whisper. I open his door to see him on his bed, face red, eyes puffy. "She..she cheated on me...with Ron. But...it shouldn't matter...because I love someone else" he says, wiping his tears. "Who. You can tell me. I won't t-" I'm interrupted with his warm lips roughly and anxiously kissing mine. "You" he whispers to where I get chills. "Wow carl, I've felt that way for forever now. I...wow" I sigh with a smile. He smiles too. We snuggle, soon falling asleep.
