I woke up in the middle of the night from my sleep. i walk over to Carl's cell. "Carl" I whisper. He was awake. "Oh! Hey, what are you doing up?" "I had a horrible dream, about you getting bit. Please, can I stay with you tonight?" "Okay." He scooted over and I crawled under the covers. "Thanks carl" I say. "Would you like to talk about the dream?" He asks. He is so considerate of others feelings. "Maybe in the morning" I say. "Okay" he says. "But since I'm awake" I say, He smiles. "So, we were sleeping in two separate rooms, in this hospital, and in your room there was a closet with a walker in it, but you didn't know it. Our rooms connected by that closet. Our plan was to defeat it at the same time, but you opened your door a second too early, and by the time I got to you, you had a bite in your neck" I cry thinking about it. "It's okay. And that couldn't happen, because if we were anywhere like that I would share a room with you" he said, causing my heart to melt and me to smile. We fell asleep like that.

Rick and Daryl were at our door talking when I wake up. "Hey lovers" teased daryl. "We aren't lovers. Just best friends. And you rick, should know that." I walk off, leaving carl stunned at my Attitude. I was usually the shy one, but I like carl a lot, so when people tease about us being together, it hurts to know it will never happen, so I get very sensitive. I go outside and play with the kids. "Were playing tag, your it!" Shouted Mika to me. "Oh!" Carl comes out. I tag him cause he doesn't know. I run off with all the kids. he tries to tag me. "Not today sir!" I run away, then a few minutes later carl tackles me. "Hey-" I was cut off by his warm, soft lips. My lips were freezing, cause it was sort of cold outside. "Hey!" Shouts Lizzie. She liked carl too. "Sorry lizzie, but I like someone else" she scoffs. Mika just laughs. I smile. Carl pulls me over by the watch tower, in the freezing shade to sit down. "Alexa, I've know you since before we could walk. I've liked you before I could do multiplication. I've just never had the guts to say it" he says. I get chill bumps and I start to shiver. He pulls me onto his lap to sit. "Will you be my girlfriend?" "Uh, no" I say. He looked crushed. "Just kidding. Why wouldn't i?" "I don't kno-" I kissed him this time, then we heard laughing. daryl and Rick. "We saw the tag thing. Nice job my boy" laughed Rick. I put my face into Carl's neck. His face was as red as a tomato. "I love you so much" I hug him. "Love you too" he says, hugging me back.
