You run. There is a villain attack, and you can't stay. It's too dangerous. Way too dangerous. However, your legs are only but so fast, and somebody catches you. They have you by the waist and carries you like that. Kicking and screaming, you beg to be released, but get no response. Though your try, you can't turn your head enough to get a good look at them, either. Is this how you die? You're sure of it.
Then, in a dark and gloomy alleyway, they set you down. Screaming, you run, but only to find a wall. Turning around, you find the person who grabbed you. A man in a black and gray suit, known as Twice. A villain through and through.
"Hi! What? I'm Twice! Pfft. It's none of your business who I am. You're so cute! You're hideous!"
As a psychiatrist, you can confidently say that he has Dissociative Identity Disorder. That's a bit worrisome. Then again, it seems every member of the League of Villains appears to have some type of mental disorder. However, you wonder why trauma he faced to cause his disease.
"You have DID. Why are you in a villain organization instead of getting help?"
"Oh! My therapist gave up on me. Didn't wanna work with a murderer."
"Gave up on you?" You clench your jaw. That's an awful thing to do to a patient. "Why'd you kill someone?"
"It was an accident! I swear! You see, I was driving and then.... a coworker came running into the middle of the road and I couldn't hit my breaks fast enough. He didn't make it."
"Oh, you poor soul." Carefully, you get close to him and rest a hand on his shoulder. "You're not meant for violence, are you?" He shrugs.
"My family is like that, so I have to be. They care about me, so I'm loyal to them."
"Oh, no. You poor thing. If only I could do something."
"I know! Don't you dare! Be mine! Get away from me! Stay with me forever and ever!"
"Uhh...I can't-"
"Please? No! Pretty pwease?"
"I can't drop my life just to stay with a criminal. I just can't."
Sighing, he says, "You've left me no choice. Yuck."
He knocks you out, though the last thing you remember is him apologizing.
Waking up, you find yourself in a dark room, on a hard mattress. It's not comforting at all. When you go to stand you you find your wrist stuck to the bed with a thick rope. Trying to remember what happened, all you find is the interaction with Twice. It must be him.
Then, the door opens, and in comes the very man you suspected. Seeing that you're awake, he jumps up and down in excitement. What's his problem?
"Y/nn! You're awake! Now we can be hubby and wifey!"
Grimacing, you say, "No, thanks."
"But why not? We're in love!"
"No, we're not."
"Are you mad at me? No, you're just adjusting. After some time, you'll love me. 'cause I love you. I hate you!"
"Your DID is acting up. Calm down. Your need a medication or something-"
"It's fine! I'm happy like this!"
"Its not healthy."
"Neither is you arguing with your hubby:"
"We're not-"
"I'm hungry. I'll go get food. See ya later!"
He runs out and you begin to rub your temples. This will be stressful.
Well, you never do fall in love with him. However, you act like you do. It helps his disassociate Identify Disorder. Instead of seeing him as a significant other, you view him as a patient. It helps you cope with everything. But, on the day he comes back cured, you no longer have a reason. Even so, you keep it up, not wanting to risk him going back.
Finally, it all comes to an end when you hear him die. It leaves you with mixed emotions. You've gained freedom, sure, but someone died. You can't be happy. But you can't be sad either. Instead you leave with your mouth in a tight line. No remorse. No joy. No feeling at all.
