With big and curious eyes, you watch a blonde boy training, honing his physical technique. In awe, you slide onto the ground, still watching him. He's nobody to train him, unlike you, who has several teachers on your side. What's stopping you from getting stronger? This boy, on his own, is working hard, while you just watch him.
He's handsome, for sure. Blonde with gray eyes, and his unusually white pupils stand out. A slim boy, really. Just looking at him, your heart races, though you don't quite know why. If only you had the courage to talk to him. That'd be something. But you're too shy. Scared of rejection.
Then, you see a spider and squeal. The blonde looks over and for a moment, you make eye contact. You both hold it a few moments, entrapped in each other. Snapping back to reality, you get nervous and teleport away, leaving him stunned.
Having just heard about the upcoming sports festival, you get ready to go home, hoping to train. But, right outside of the classroom are several students, though you're not acquainted with any. Then, your eyes fall on him. The blonde. He begins laughing hysterically.
"At the sports fest," he starts. "You'll all go down! We'll beat you!"
Then a purple-haired boy appears. But you're not interested in him. Your gaze remains fixated on the blonde, hoping that he'll give his name. Then, he makes eye contact with you.
"You!" He points to you. "What's your name?"
"Y- Y/n L/n."
"Well, L/n, I'II beat you to a pulp. The name's Neito Monoma. Don't forget it."
Then he leaves. Your heart flutter s and you teleport home, not wanting to walk. Besides, you need to start raining as soon as possible. Just like Neito Monoma.
When it gets dark out, you find yourself sweating and ready to be done for the day. So, you head inside and shower, though skip dinner. Once clean, you sit on your bed, but get an idea. Why not write an anonymous letter to Monoma? Just to cheer him on? Thatd be something, right? And so, you begin writing.
Neito Monoma,
We haven't really met. I mean, we've exchanged names, but we don't know each other well. I want to say that I'm rooting or you. That is, for the sports festival. I've seen you training, and I think you have a lot of potential. And Class 1-A is strong, so me thinking you can do it is really saying something.
I also want to tell you that I think your quirk is amazing. Speaking other people's abilities is actually amazing. You don't have one set ability, which makes you so versatile. I don't say things like this often, but I think you're amazing. Don't ever doubt that and stay confident, because that'll take you so far in life. I believe in you,
Sincerely,
Someone Who Adnires You

You fold it and place it into an envelope, closing it neatly and placing a cute sticker on the outside. Hopefully he likes it.
Before anyone else arrives, you leave the letter in Class 1-B's classroom. Then, you slip out and wait for your own class, impatient for the day to end.
At lunch, you see Monoma with a redheaded girl, holding the letter and confusedly reading it. You hear him say, "No matter how many times I read it, don't understand. Who the heck wrote this? And why? Is it a prank?"
The redhead replies, "Maybe she just likes you. Girls sometimes do they. They like unlikely dudes."
"But why?"
"I don't know. Go find her and ask her."
"I wish I could, but she didn't sign her name. And it's typed."
"Well, good luck. I bet you can do it."
She pats him on the back and walks off, leaving him to glare. Finally, he shouts back, "JUST SO YOU KNOW, THERE'S NO WAY SHE ACTUALLY HAS A CRUSH ON ME!! SHE'S PROBABLY A JERK FROM 1-A AND WANTS TO PRANK ME!!!"
Turning around, the redhead shouts back, "WHATEVER YOU SAY!!"
Embarrasses, you sink down in your seat, almost regretting giving it to him. But why should you be embarrassed? He doesn't know it was you. Your secret is safe. He'll never know. Never ever. Not as long as you live.
Sometimes, you follow Monoma, watching him and wanting to learn about him. He's a bit obnoxious, but he works hard and he has a dream. And you're already sure that you like him. He seems wonderful.
When the sports festival comes around, you're nervous and jittery. While walking towards the bathroom, you bump into someone. Confused, you look up and find Monoma, who tilts his head to the side.
"Would ya' mind watching where you're going?"
"S-s-sorry."
He notices the way you're shaking, causing him to furrow his brows. "Wait. Are you okay?"
"I'm fine." You try to run into the bathroom, but he grabs your sleeve.
"The fest won't go in your favor if you're a big ball if anxiety, you know."
"Er- yeah. Thanks."
"Try washing your face and forcing your heart rate to slow down. That'll help a bit."
"O- okay."
"Are you scared of me or something?"
"W- what? N- no!"
"Okay, then. Be careful, though. l'm stronger than you may think.'
"I-I'm sure."
And then you run into the bathroom.
In the end, neither you nor Monoma win. Feeling bad that he lost, you write him another letter. Someone should comfort him, write? Yeah. That's what it is.
Neito Monoma,
I'm sorry you lost. I did, too. Bakugou is really scary and tough, so it's no wonder why he won. But that doesn't matter! You were great! And I'm really proud of you! In all honesty I sucked. l'm not that string and my quirk is super weak. I don't even know how I got into UA. You're outstanding, and I really, really admire you. Honestly, you inspire me to work harder. Watching you makes me want to improve and get stronger. So that I can keep up with you. One day, I hope to have the courage to approach you. But I wanna be strong before that. l don't want you t to
see me at my lowest, but I instead, at my best. That's what you deserve. When that day comes, I hope that you could call me a rival. Not to upset you, but to impress you. To get your attention.
I know you'll never see me the way I see you, but to just be acknowledged is more than enough. I'm not greedy like that. So be prepared. One day, I'll be able to present myself to you, and I hope that on that day, you'll see me as someone strong enough to acknowledge. That's all I want, as cheesy as it is.
Sincerely,
Someone Who Admires You

Satisfied, you close up the envelope and then go train, wanting to be strong like how you promised Monoma. You will do it. You have to. For your pride, at least.
You find Monoma in the halls, sitting on the floor and reading your letter, looking so confused. Quietly, you watch him, hoping for a positive reaction. You hear him mutter, "I bet you're stronger than you think. And you make too much of me. I'm not all that. And you'll be stronger. I know it. I believe in you, too. Thank you."
Smiling silly, you just stare at the ceiling. He believes in you. He really does. That's more than enough. His encouragement is all you need. You could conquer the world if he believed in you. Even if he doesn't know who "you" are, he still believes. And that's all you really need.
The letter-writing has become a habit. He gets one once a week, and you always try and watch him read it. Each time, you see him talking aloud, saying how he wishes to meet you. You want to, but you can't. You just can't. You're not strong enough yet. You have to keep working hard. You aren't even close to deserving to getting to know him.
But then, one day, he catches you. As you're placing the letter on his desk, he walks in and directly sees you. You hold each other's gazes for several moments, but then you disappear, just like the day you first saw him. He starts running around, trying to figure out where you disappeared to.
Every time he gets close, you disappear somewhere else, determined to not face him. When classes finally start, you're safe. For now.
At lunch, he tries to talk to you, but you hide in the bathroom. You won't do it. You just won't. You can't. Not yet. You're not ready.
Today, you decide to walk home for some exercise. But, you find arms wrapped around you in the middle of your walk.
Stopping dead in your tracks, you freeze up, incapable of moving. Carefully, you turn your head to find Monoma behind you. What is he doing? And why?
Before you can start asking questions, he starts to say, "Thank you so much for those letters. They got me through my hardest times. But I wish you would've come to me in person. I really do."
"I couldn't. I- I'm not good enough-"
'You'd more than enough. And I was right when I assumed you were strong. I see you, too. You're  always training and working hard."
"Only because of you."
"Well you encouraged me to keep moving. You don't know how hard its been. I always feel like I'm lagging, not good enough. But you're al ways telling me that I am. You're just what need, so thank you."
"Th- that's giving me too much credit. I don't deserve-"
"Yes, you do. I fell in love with you through those letters. Please be mine."
"You don't hate me?"
"Why would I?"
"You hate everyone from my class."
"I can accept you. You're perfect."
"No, I'm not. I-"
"Hush. Stop insulting yourself. I won't stand for that."
"S- sorry."
"Why so tense? Lighten up. Its just me."
"That's why I'm tense. I'm nervous."
"Why?"
"I've never been hugged by a boy before."
"Never?"
"Never."
"Have you ever been kissed?"
"N- no."
"Good. I'm about to be your first."
"What-"
He turns you around and slams his lips directly on yours, sending an electrical feeling throughout your body. A shy little girl like you doesn't know what to do here. You've never been kissed. You've never been so close to a guy. It's all so unfamiliar and foreign to you. Should you wrap your arms around him? Should you hold still? Should you lean in? What are you supposed to do here?
Finally, he releases you, bringing his hand to your face to push a stray piece of hair from your face. "I got so lucky. How did such a beautiful girl start to like me? And write me love letters? And to have such a beautiful personality?"
"You... think I'm beautiful?"
"Painfully gorgeous. I don't wanna tear my eyes from, you. You don't know how often I wished that it was you writing to me. And it seems that my wish came true."
"I guess so. Mine came true, too."
"What was your wish?"
"That you'd want me just as badly I wanted you."
"Then it didn't come true."
"What? I thought-"
"I want you even more." As he pulls you into a hug, he nestles his face into the crook of your neck. "I love you more than you'd expect."
He loves you? It's not just a crush? It's love? Is that even possible? Can he really love a girl like you? Awkwardly, you begin to stroke his back, lulling him into a relaxed state. Despite his comment on you being so tense and nervous, he seems to have been just as bad.
"I gotta get home."
"Don't leave me just yet."
"But my mom-"
"Will have to live. Just a bit longer."
"I get in trouble."
"That's fine. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make."
"If you're not paying the price, it isn't a sacrifice."
"Agree to disagree."
"That's it."
You teleport away, and he screams in frustration. How could you?! That's awful!
The next day, you're attacked by a bear hug from Monoma. He's so clingy. The boy is constantly all over you, wanting attention. He walks you to and from classes, even if that makes him late for his own. He steals you away to sit with him at lunch. He insists on walking you home and promises to get you in the morning.
And he proves to be everything you thought he'd be.
