Horror Movies (Maddie)

In the kitchen, you make popcorn. Tonight is movie night with your boyfriend so you have to get the snacks ready while he sets up the TV. You begged him to let you do something and this is what you got, to which you had to say, "I want to pick some stuff out for myself." Finally, he relented, so now you're getting a bunch of snacks and drinks together. Once finished, you carry stuff into the living room, having to make a couple trips because of the amount. As soon as you're done, so is he.
You both climb onto the couch and sit side-by-side, his arm around your shoulders and you leaned into him. The movie starts and you see that it's a horror movie. You've never been too fond of them, but that's okay. You'd watch them for your manly man.
Then, during a "scary"' scene, you get an idea. A bit smug, you begin to lean into the redhead a bit more, clutching his shirt a bit. He turns his head, slightly confused.
"You okay, Pebble?"
"Mhm." Play it cool. Don't be obvious with it.
"Okay. Lemme know if somethings wrong, okay?"
"Mhm."
Then, it a bit more of a gory part, you put your face in his chest, then give a little whimper. Immediately, his arms are around you and he's rubbing your back, saying that it's okay. You almost loose face and break out into a smile, but you won't. You see this act through. Besides, he gives the warmest hugs ever.
"It's okay," he says. "It's not real. And you got your manly boyfriend right here who'll always protect you."
"I- l know," you cling on, practically climbing into his lap.
"Aw. My poor Pebble. I didn't know they'd scare you. Here," You hear the click of the remote and the TV turns off."I'm sorry. Do you wanna watch something else?"
"No. C- can we just- can we just stay like this awhile?"
"Of course. Anything you wanna do."
And little did he know, the whole thing was staged.
