It was the necklace that Alec gave to me. I started liking him because of this.
Pinulot ito ni Lily. "Is this new? I haven't seen you wearing this." Tinitigan ko ito. Ilang araw ko na itong ginagawa. Mula nang makauwi ako galing rest house kung saan naabutan ako ni Archer.
I'm not thinking about anything. I just stared at it for a long time.
Someone knocked at bumukas ang pinto.
"Hey bro!" Bati ni Lily.
"Don't forget the party later." Paalala nito.
"What party?" Naguguluhan kong tanong.
"Alec's birthday. You forgot? That's new." He smiled.
Natulala ako.
I forgot.
I forgot Alec's birthday.
"Is that yours? It looked familiar." Sabi ni Kuya at kinuha ang kuwintas. Tinitigan niya ito.
"Right?! Kay Daisy yan Kuya."
Mukhang may naalala si Kuya.
"Hindi ba ito yung gusto mong bilhin five years ago? So you came back."
"Ah yes." Sabi ko na lang.
Tumawa si Lily. "Yeah I remember mukha pa nga siyang maiiyak non habang paalis tayo." Tumawa din si Kuya.
"You should both prepare already. Sabay tayong tatlo pupunta ron. Mauuna na sila Mama." Nagpaalam na si Kuya at lumabas.
"You don't look happy." Nag angat ako ng tingin kay Lily.
"What do you mean. I am happy." I said.
"No you're not. Before... When it's Alec's birthday, umaga pa lang nag ha handa ka na. You're always excited. But now... You even forgot his birthday." She studied my face.
I couldn't say anything because she's right. I totally forgot and I'm not looking forward to seeing him...
"Whatever it is I hope you sort it out soon. I'm always here okay?" She kissed my cheek and left the room.

Nakarating na kami sa mansion nila Alec. Nauna na rito sila Mom and Dad. May mga bumati sa amin doon hindi nagtagal ay nahanap rin namin si Alec.
I was just looking around when I saw Archer. He was talking with someone. A woman... Who is she?
I felt my stomach churn.
Palapit na kami kay Alec at kung hindi lang ako siniko ni Lily ay di pa matitigil ang pagtitig ko sa kinaroroonan ni Archer.
"Happy birthday Alec." Bati ko rito.
He ruffled my hair at napasimangot ako. I stared at him.
He still looked the same. But... I changed.
"Hmm no gift for me?" He teases.
Lagi kasi tuwing birthday nito ay may dala akong regalo. Pero dahil ngayon nga ay nawala sa isip ko na birthday niya, hindi ako nakapag handa.
"I f-forgot..." I awkwardly said. Nagtawanan naman sila ni Kuya.
"That's new? Bakit may magagalit na ba?" Tumaas ang kilay nito.
"Huh?"
Sinuntok siya ni Kuya sa braso. "She doesn't have a boyfriend you dumbass!" Kuya said in a low voice.
