Chapter 14

I'm glad I woke up early. Ni hindi ko napansing nakatulog na pala ako.

Archer's still sleeping.

Tiningnan ko ang hawak kong kuwintas.
I smiled sadly. Ipinatong ko ito sa table.
I took a glance at him before leaving.

I groaned when I heard someone knocked on the door.
I don't have the strength to move.
My whole body is aching!

"Hindi ka bumaba ng breakfast at hindi ka rin bumaba ng lunch." I heard Mom's voice.

I tried to mask the pain I'm feeling.  "I'm just tired sa party Mom..."

"Papaakyat ko na lang dito ang pagkain. Are you s
ure everything's alright?" Hinaplos nito ang buhok ko
"I'm fine Mom. I just need a rest that's all..."

She doesn't look convinced pero hindi na niya ako pinilit.

The next day came and I still didn't feel better.

No matter how much I wanted to stay inside my room ayaw ko namang magtanong pa sila Mama.
Kaya kahit labag sa loob pinilit kong bumaba para kumain.

Nakasalubong ko pa si Lily sa hagdan. "I was about to call you."
Sabay na kaming bumaba.

Nandoon na silang lahat kami na lang ni Lily ang hinihintay. I greeted them good morning and we started eating like we normally do.

Kahit alam kong wala sa nararamdaman ko ngayon ang normal I tried my best not to show it.
I stayed silent while eating. Kapag tinatanong lang sasagot. I saw my brother and Lily glancing at each other.

"So... we're thinking of having a picnic this afternoon..." I glanced at my brother.

Nakatingin ito sakin. I have a feeling that I won't like where this is going.

"Si Charlotte ang nag aya... She invited the three of us." I swallowed the food.

"Kasama natin sila Alec and Archer. You know the old days... Like we used to do. Masyado na kasi busy kaya..."

Umasim agad ang pakiramdam ko. I drank my water and slowly stood up.

Thinking of seeing Archer after what happened to us...

I don't even know kung mahaharap ko pa siya after that. I feel like we crossed the line. And we can't go back anymore.

I don't even know kung paano siya pakikitunguhan.
Kung magkakausap pa ba kami.

"Well enjoy... I'm going to rest in my room... Please excuse me." Pagpapa alam ko rito.

Brother is so stupid. I calmed myself. Thinking that he doesn't know anything. Forgive him Daisy... forgive him...

Hindi na nabanggit ito ni Kuya kahit nang mag lunch na kami. When afternoon came I saw them outside. Sumakay na sa carriage si Kuya and Lily.

Archer likes Lily...

Right. I almost forgot. Mas mabuti pala na hindi ako sumama. So they can spend time together...

Like how it's supposed to be.

Pero mukhang hindi ko na siya matutulungan kay Lily. Kaya na niya yon. It was his expertise after all.

I felt bitter all of a sudden.

I watched the sunset through my window. Nakaupo lang ako at di ko namalayang nakatulog na pala ako.

Naalimpungatan lang ako nang maramdamang may humahaplos sa buhok ko. It was so familiar but of course I'm sure I was just imagining it.

I opened my eyes for me to shut it again.
There's no way...

I think I'm still dreaming. There's no way for him to be here.
