Chapter 19

I look anxiously at the window in my room.

The other day when I stayed at Archer's rest house, after we cleared the misunderstanding and finally confessed what we truly feel for each other, he told me that he'll visit me and talk to my parents. When I asked him why he just smiled and kissed me. We had sex after that and I forgot to ask him again. But then now I remembered that he's coming. I got up early and prepared myself.

The door opened and I saw Lily.
She raised her eyebrows. "Going somewhere?"

My cheeks flushed. "No... Archer's coming."

She only looked at me, waiting for my explanation.

"He told me he will visit... and talk to Mom and Dad."

She blinked.

I stared at her and saw how her eyes slowly widened.

"No way." Sabi nito na hindi makapaniwala.

Then we heard a carriage outside.
Sabay kaming sumilip sa bintana.

My heart beat quickened. I repeatedly shake Lily's shoulder. "He's here! H-how do I look?!" I nervously asked.

She laughed to the point her cheeks were flushed.
"You look gorgeous don't worry! Should we head down?" Hinila ako nito palabas ng kwarto.

I can feel my sweaty palms. "Lily kinakabahan ako!"

She giggled. "That's normal! Make it fast I want to see the reaction of his stupid face while talking to them!"

Pababa na kami ng hagdan nang mapahinto kami.
Papasok na sa loob si Archer.

"Archer? You've been busy these days. Bihira ko na lang kayo makitang magkasama ni Raven." Sabi ni Mama na sumalubong sa kanya.

His eyes found mine and I swear I saw it shines.
I heard Lily stifled a laugh.

"Yes I've been busy... There's a lot of things going on but now I finally have time. I've missed everyone."
He said that while his eyes were on me. Mom pulled him into a hug.

"Oh it's Archer? I think Raven is still asleep. You never visited this early..." Biglang sumulpot si Papa.

"Right! Come here now I'll call him for you." Mom said

"It's fine... I came here for you." He looked at both of them.

"For us? Is this important? Did Arriane ask you to come here?" Mom asked.

"It is important but no I came here on my own."

"What's with that dumb face." Lily whispered. Siniko ko tuloy siya.

"Okay... What is this about?" Tanong ni Dad.

"About Daisy." He said without hesitation.

I bit my lip as I waited for their reaction.

Mom and Dad glanced at each other for a long time like they're having conversations on their mind. And suddenly looked back at us. Their eyes landed on me.

Then Mom asked for the maid to wake Raven up immediately and asked him to go to Dad's office. She seems excited for some reason.

Nagmamadaling hinila ni Mom si Archer papuntang office at sumunod naman si Dad.

The Dad looked at us. "Also, both of you."
Sabi nito at bumaba naman kami ni Lily.

Nasa office na kami. Nakaupo na kaming lahat sa sofa nang bigla namang bumukas ang pinto at pumasok si Raven na humihikab pa.

"What's this all about? Huh? Archer?" Gulat na tanong nito.

"Hey." Tumango naman si Archer.

"I miss you man! Haven't seen you for a long time! You've been busy huh? With work? Or you're finally busy with a woman? What finally may nabingwit ka na rin?" Tatawa tawa pa nitong sabi.
