Lucy's POV
I flew the plane over the endless blanket of green that was the forest. The passenger in the backseat, a strange boy dressed in white, watched the trees fly by in blurs. I concentrated on the watery controls. It is harder than it looks to fly a jet made completely of water.
"So," The boy in white said. "How did they find you?" He asked.
I opened my mouth to answer, but an oncoming tree sliced through part of the jet and I veered left. Of coarse, the tree went right through, because the vehicle is made of water.
The boy tumbled around in the backseat, and I snickered. I debated making a large hawk and scaring him even more, but common sense told me not to, because he would get back at me by freezing my head for a few hours.
"Did you mean to do that?" He asked bitterly.
"No," I said casually.
"How did they find you?" He repeated.
"They just walked into my underwater fort and raided it, and just happened to steal the vase that I was hiding in. It was chance." I replied, not taking my eyes off of the horizon. "The expressions on their faces when I popped out was priceless." I laughed slightly.
"Underwater fort? How did you manage that?" He asked.
"Created a pocket of air and submerged it in a lake." I answered blankly. "Living in a bubble is not fun."
"Oh." He says and turns to look out the window once more.
"Pardon me for asking," he says a few minutes later. "But where are we going?"
That is a good question. "I don't know..." I said, trying to think of an answer.
"We could return to the Bounty," He suggested.
"The Bounty?"
"It's a flying ship that we live in. Sensei Wu, our mentor, will be waiting there for us."
" 'Our' mentor? There are more of you?"
"Oh! Yes. There is me, Zane, ninja of ice, Kai, ninja of fire, Cole, ninja of earth, and Jay, ninja of lightning."
"Alright. I am Lucy, apparently the Master of Water."
"The Bounty is... let's see... twenty miles from here, if you head north."
Another half an hour passes in silence. The forest ends and is replaced with a long, white seashore of sand and shells, then melts into the vast expanse of water known as the ocean. After awhile, a small, red speck is visible on the horizon. As we draw nearer, it's details are outlined and it's shape is defined. It is just like a normal boat, albeit the large ballon tied to the mast and the rocket boosters attatched to the rear of it. It's front had a wooden sculpture of a dragon's head.
"So, this is the Bounty?" I ask.
"Yes. My father helped to repair it. It used to have sails instead of a balloon. But my father, Garmadon, and Mesako are out on vacation for the month." Zane replies.
We land, and I make the water jet into a bal and drop it into the ocean, where it belongs.
"So, this is the Water Master?" an elderly voice says out of nowhere.
An old man with a white kimono and a black belt with a straw hat and a bamboo atick emerges from a trapdoor in the deck.
"Yes," Zane answers. "Lucy, this is Sensei Wu."
"Pleased to meet you," I say, shaking his hand.
"And to you as well." Sensei replaies cheerily.
Then he turns to Zane. "Is there any news regarding the Raptors?" He asks this in a tone that suggests that he already knows that there is.
"Yes." Zane says sadly. "It is just the Riproarai and the Telepai against the others, who are trying to rise up and consume Ninjago."
Sensei shakes his head. "In that case, we must assist the Telepai and the Riproarai in any way we can. I will summon the others back."
"How will yo do that?" Zane asks quizzically.
"Cell phone." Sensei says, holding up a small metalic object that was the phone.
"One more thing," Zane says, his expression grim.
"Yes?"
Zane takes a shaky breath. "I only have three hours left."
