Zane's POV
I stare in shock. Who's side is he on?
He shrieks in pain and falls limp. "No!" I yell, striking the Venomai with force I didn't know I had.
It just flinched and threw Radar's body to the side. His throat was bleeding badly, staining the yellow limestone flooring red. Lucy and Silver leap at the same time and knock the Venomai out cold. Lucy stabs him with her dagger and it is all over.
I kneel beside Radar and stroke his scales thoughtfully. His eyes open slightly and he gives a small smile.
"You're going to be fine..." I say to him, comforting myself more than him.
He shakes his head limply. "Find..." He whispers. "Fire..."
"Fire?" I ask. "That's Kai. What do you mean?"
He takes a shaky breath. "Find... Team... Fire..." He croaks.
Silver glances around uncertainly.
"Team Fire. What does that mean?" I ask. According to my database, Fire stands for something. There are no records on exactly what, though.
"Get cure... Find Fire... Silver." He whispers. "
"How?" I inquire.
"Silver..." He repeats.
I nod. Something warm and wet drips down my cheek.
"Good... Luck..." He says. "Zane."
He smiles, and takes a final breath.
Lucy, Silver, and Jay kneel down beside me and we all lift his body and carry it out the cave opening, where the bounty is waiting. We place him down and collapse.
Jay comes over to me and places his hand on my shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Zane."
"It's fine." I mutter.
"We'll bury him," promises Silver.
I nod weakly. There's no time to waste. I've only got a little bit of time left, and we've got a world to save.
