Prologue:
"You can't defeat me!" Hissed the immense figure of the overlord at the small figure cloaked in golden light below him. This was the final battle and he knew it.
His opponent was known as The Ultimate Spinjitsu Master, yet he still fights in a mech. The Overlord chuckled inwardly at the thought. He didn't have a mech. And he was still winning.
The Ultimate Spinjutsu Master fought without fear, and attacked without delay. But alas, the mech that had protected him throughout the battle was destroyed, leaving him defenceless. Knowing that his back was against the wall and it was all over, he used his last pulse of strength to return the Stone Army back to the DarkStone that it once was. They stayed motionless. Lifeless as statues.
"NO!" Shrieked the Overlord, flapping his massive wings and taking flight to face the Ultimate Spinjitsu Master.
"Just you and me," He said, landing.
His opponent said nothing and prepared an elemental beam. The Overlord laughed at his feeble atempt, and breathed his Shadow Fire breath onto him, expecting to extinguish the tiny beam. But to his immense suprise, the beam just grew bigger with each attampt to destroy it.
"NO!" He Shrieked again, cringing as the light overtook him, causing his life force to seep out.
He knew that without another plan, he was going to die. So with his last breath, he cast a dark spell long since forgotten. It took all of man's weakest points and turned them into living, breathing things.
As they took shape, they began to resemble himself. He took a sort of pride in it, even though wings didn't grow.
Five separate creatures stood before him.
The first he names the Shiftai, able to become anything it bites, just like man is able to cloak itself with lies, to become whatever it wishes.
The second he named the Riproarai, able to instantly track anything and rush to it at astounding speeds. Just like man is able to find another's weaknesses and is so quick to use them to it's advantage.
The third he named the Telepai, able to teleport anywhere it wishes. Just like man is able to go wherever it wants, giving no care to the effect it has.
The fourth he named the Venomai, able to turn other animals into one of them. just like man is able to twist and corrupt another to their advantage.
The fifth he named the Infectai, able to cause a virus that can only be cured by the Venomai's venom. Just like man is able to poison another with lies.
Five of man's greatest weaknesses, as living things.
The creatures instantly began attacking the Ultimate Spinjitsu Master, and he was losing. He began to cast the same spell, but with all of man's best abilities.
They took the form of dragons.
One was called the Illusionai, able to cast any illusion it wished. Just like man was able to create fantasies.
The second was called the Time Turners, guardians of time. Able to bring people into the past, present, and future, just like man is able to predict what can happen in the future and prepare for it.
The third was called the StormChasers, able to manipulate weather. Just like man was able to make the best of any circumstance.
The fourth was called the MountainShapers, able to alter the form of the land to their will. Just like man was able to shape problems and make them into solutions.
They fought the craetures of darkness valiantly, but the victory was still on the Overlord's side. So the Ultimate Spinjitsu Master took ten humans and gave them his powers.
None of them existed yet, but when they did, they would destroy the Overlord for good.
With his last effort, he trapped the Overlord and his Minions on the Dark Island. He couldn't say the same for the craetures.
Both the good and the bad escaped, lost until a time unknown.
Many years later, Destiny's Bounty
Zane's POV
I sat on the creaky wooden deck of Destiny's Bounty, watching the moon intently. It was only 5:56 in the morning, which means that the others would not be up for approximately 1 hour and 34 minutes. I have always enjoyed getting up early, but not this time. Rather than awakening peacefully, I was awoken by a malfunction. An error. I was awoken by a nightmare. I am a nindroid, and nindroids do not dream. I have never experienced a dream before. It was an entirely new sensation. I do not know why I am making this a large deal. It is irrational. But there is a feeling inside that tells me that it is a big deal.
I remember the dream as I'd it really occurred. I had been in a dark forest, with no light filtering through the tall trees that surrounded me. My friends were there, yet they did not have an expression of happiness on their faces. They seemed more angry and distressed. They looked at me with cold eyes, and I knew that they were angry at me. For a reason that I do not know. They look away, and I move toward them. But they just move away. Then they disappear; and I am in a long corridor filled with old, rotted wooden doors. I was not interested in any of them. I walked down the damp hallway, and find a door different from the rest. It was emerald green, with shiny brass handles shape like rings. Smoke seemed to be rising from the crack underneath it. I felt a longing to open the door, and I knew that I should. I had to. I must... I reach a cautious hand toward the brass, open the door, and...
I gasp. I do not remember the rest clearly. But I do know what was inside the door. Somehow, I know. It is like a distant memory, suddenly unveiling itself. The thing behind the door was a dragon.
