Zane's POV
I lay down my head on the soft pillow. It instantly conformed to my touch. 'I do not want to sleep...' I think to myself. Suddenly, darkness surrounds the world. "No!" I shout, opening my eyes. I nearly fell asleep that time.
"Shut your pie holes, Zane. We're trying to sleep." Jay mumbles.
I nod as if he can see me. All is quiet now in the bedroom on the Destiny's Bounty. I have been avoiding sleep since 9:00. It is 2:35 now. My eyes continuously droop, trying to make me drift into sleep. But I will not allow that. I yawn. I am depriving myself of rest for a good reason; I cannot and will not have that dream again. I guess that it is because I am afraid.
But I am overwhelmed by exhaustion. I shall rest my eyes for awhile to avoid tiredness in the morning...
A dark forest. My friends. My brothers. I go to them. They move. I call to them. They ignore me. The world melts away. I am in the corridor. Doors. So many doors, but I Do not care. I want to go to the one at the end. The one with the dragon. I reach it and pull the emerald door open. The caged dragon looks at me, surprised. It has opal- like white scales and sleek jet-black eyes that glimmer even in the dimly- lit corridor.
It says one word and hands me a glowing silver and blue orb. "Help..."
The orb levitates and starts spinning. Words are flowing like a song from it as it spins.
Babbling brooks and rushing streams,
Several of Ice's frightening dreams,
The new new element, it shall be
What saves the life of a dying tree,
Melted ice, melodic it sings,
Atop the soaring dragons wings,
The ninja of ice, he must save,
What makes up a raging wave,
He shall either....
"ZANE!"
I jump awake, drenched in sweat and panting heavily. Kai, Cole, and Jay leaned over me with concern on their faces.
"Zane, are you alright?"
I throw myself into their arms. "The dream..." I pant.
Kai hugs me. "It's okay, Zane. You're awake now. You're safe."
I breathe deeply and try to calm down. My brothers are right. I am safe now.
"C'mon," Kai says, suddenly energetic. "It's your turn to cook breakfast!"

The first thing the others wanted to know about the nightmare was what it was about. I relayed it very carefully, not ,issuing a single detail. The orb's song was the most difficult to remember, but my memory banks played it impending my head as I said every word. When I finished, my friends looked at me with eyes as wide as saucers.
"Do you think that the song is... A new prophecy?" Kai asked.
"Could be! But Zane, was it referring to you when it said 'Ice'?" Jay questioned.
"I think it is." Sensei Wu says, turning a corner and scaring us all. "It is almost exactly like the prophecy in the Tempe of Light that I found while we were on the Dark Island."
"We didn't see that," Cole retorted.
"I did." Sensei Wu countered. "The last part had faded away, just like Zane's dream. He was right. His nightmares are more than just that."
"Sensei, it seemed to be saying 'water' a lot. What does this mean?" Zane asked quizzically.
"It means that there is a new element, which means a new master. And you four must find the master of water."
