🍊Breakfast Sea Shanty🍊

SANJI'S POV
(Fluff/Cooking/Singing)

I was cooking some eggs in the sizzling pan while whistling a tune out loud. It was only a song I knew from my childhood of course.

I flipped the eggs in the pan as they sizzled again. I tapped my foot on the ground.

Sliding the over easy eggs onto the plates I then sprinkled some sea salt and pepper. I added some butter toast with fresh tangerine jelly on one for Nami Swan. Then everyone else had regular strawberry/and or blueberry jam. I heard the sound of a skeleton walk in. I turn around and see Brook surprisingly.

"Was that you that was singing?" He asked

"Oh! Yea, it's just a song I used to heard all the time in my childhood."

"My that was marvelous! You should sing it again and I can play my violin!"

I panicked, "NO! No I couldn't it's embarrassing!"

"Don't you think that Y/N would like it too? I don't think she's ever heard you sing like that before."

"No she hasn't. It would be embarrassing too if she heard me."

"Well why don't you sing Bink no Sake? It's not too difficult for you isn't it?"

"We'll I guess not. I'm more of a cook not a singer. We can try though."

"Wonderful! This is going to be fun! After everyone is done eating I can start the violin playing and you'll sing!" Brook was ecstatic.

"I'm probably gonna regret this..." I mumbled to myself.

After serving everyone at the table including Y/N. Everyone told me I've really outdone myself on the breakfast I've made. I guess singing makes my cooking better haha. Also it made me hold back on putting food poisoning on Zoro's food. If I did that I would've caused trouble for Chopper. The moment I put down the plate in front of Luffy, our captain devours the whole plate in 3 seconds. I was frustrated with this but I didn't let it bother me.

When everyone was nearly finished I told everyone I wanted to present something. Luffy was already excited like the child our captain was. Y/N had her palm against her face in interest,
"What is it Sanji-kun?"
Then Brooke started the intro on violin holding the head of the stringed instrument to his mandible. His knobby fingers holding the strings as he rubbed the bow over the string. Everyone was now invested to see what I was going to do.

As I continued on singing everyone was delighted, of course the only one that found it hilarious was Zoro. I almost wanted to stop and attack him when I saw his sly smirk and chuckle. However, making Y/N and the others smile was all that kept me singing. Soon everyone started to sing all together. At the end of the song everyone cheered me on, "Sanji kun! That was really wonderful singing!" Nami praised me. "THANK YOU NAMI SWAN!!!" I felt like melting. Y/N clapped her hands,
"You and Brook are amazing duets together! Let's hear another song!"

"Oh I don't know..." I scratched the back of my head nervously.

"You're too chicken Mr Prince?" Zoro teased.

"SHUT UP!" I flared up,
"I'll sing another song..."

Brook then played the intro to Sea Shanty on the violin at a high pitch. Sanji had to tap his foot and remember how it goes and then he sang with his heart towards (mainly the ladies) his crew. It was a song that not even Luffy had heard before and everyone loved it. Y/N wasn't at all afraid and sings along with her partner Sanji. Zoro rolled his eyes, he knew this song too well. He took a swig of his drink and basically thought 'fuck it'. He got up and had his shoulder and started to sing with Sanji and Y/N.

One after the other everyone joined in together as the song echoes through out the seas, the thousand sun rolled over the crashing waves. Ussop pulled the mast open and Franky ironed a metal plating inside the hull. Nami drew out her maps of the oceans, Sanji chops up some onions and fish frying them in a pan as he swung his legs around catching a bottle of rum on his foot preventing it from shattering. Chopper drops a bit of antidote into a vial for medicine, as Zoro snoozed in the hull of the ship with his three swords. Brook wrote some song lyrics as his violin was set aside with Robin fixing another wooden panel of the pirate ship. Luffy turned the wheel of the ship and set course for the next island.
