"It's okay boy, calm down." Vaera cooed trying to settle the horses. She loved riding, she rode every day, said she felt like she was flying. But right now a storm raged on and the horses woke her up. She heard them from her chambers and needed to help. She ran down in her night dress and slippers to try and soothe them.

"You shouldn't do that girl." Gregor barked. He heard the horses as well.

"They are scared." Vaera corrected.

"They will get over it," Gregor assured as thunder and lightening echoed and cracked through the sky, the horses neighed and whined, bucked and beat at their stalls.

"It's okay, it's okay," Vaera cooed. "You are going to hurt yourself."

"Girl, get back," Gregor requested again as Tywin came out. Vaera stumbled back as the horse closest to her broke free from his stall. Gregor reached out for her but she was as stubborn as the dragon she was. Another gate broke open and a second stallion was released. They bucked at each other. Vaera screamed trying to disappear. Gregor pulled one of the horses back, getting him into a stall again. Vaera looked to Gregor as he secured the latch.

"Girl, come on," Gregor requested. "That horse is still riled up." Vaera nodded taking a step towards him.

"Vaera!" Tywin shouted racing towards her but it was too late, the hoof connected with her skull and sent her flying to earth. "VAERA!" Tywin rasped. "Get the maester! Get the maester!" Gregor Clegane was the last face Vaera saw before it all went black.

It was two days of pacing and worrying, two days of the Lannister family freaking the fuck out. Vaera was breathing but she didnt look very alive.

Tywin sobbed at her bedside, his precious little Vaera, gone. Just like that. He couldnt lose her.

"You worried?" Korge questioned when he caught his son, Gregor staring at Casterly Rock.

"What?" Gregor barked back.

"You worried about the girl?" Korge clarified. Gregor shrugged turning back to his duties. "Well dont be. Them lords and ladies like the Lannisters dont give two shits about us, unless they need us to clean up their shit." Korge assured him. "You learned that when you fought in their damn war."

"I'm good at killing people." Gregor agreed.

"Aye, a good trait to have." KOrge agreed. "Stop staring at the Rock. The girl will be dead before you know it and then you will have wasted precious training time worried about a dead girl." Gregor finished shoveling horse dung and found himself staring up at what he knew to be Vaera Lannister's chambers. She would smile down at him, waving to him as he tended to the animals, cleaned up their stalls. She always offered him a smile, which Gregor never understood. Then she risked her damn life for animals that Gregor knew didnt care about her. That kick to the head proved it.

Tywin had fallen asleep at Vaera's bedside, he was scared that if he left, she would die all alone. He needed to be beside her.

Vaera's eyes fluttered open and darkness surrounded her. Panic filled her. Her ears rang as her head jerked around. What was happening her mind screamed out.

"Daddy?" Vaera whimpered. "Daddy!" thrashing on the bed she gripped tight to the sheets trying to remember where she was.

"I'm right here, little love, I'm right here." Tywin assured grabbing her hand.

"Where- I can't... I can't..." Vaera whimpered her whole body shaking as she sobbed out. "Why can't I see?"

"What?" Tywin countered, his gaze shot a deadly glare to the maesters.

"I can't see anything, daddy why can't I see?" Vaera rubbed at her eyes to no use. "I can't see, daddy I can't see!" Vaera sobbed out. "my eyes! My eyes!"

"Our knowledge on the brain is minimal." The maesters reminded Tywin, "she is lucky to be alive."

Vaera didn't feel lucky.
