"The hands tourney-"

"It's going to scare you." Gregor corrected shaking his head.

"Why?"

"All the horses and swords clashing together, you won't like it." Gregor assured her. "Trust me."

"Okay.' Vaera agreed easily. She shrugged leaning back on the balcony. "But you are competing." Vaera countered.

"Aye." Gregor agreed nonchalantly, he loved competitions but would much rather have his arms around Vaera than bashing a skull in... words he would never say because he had a reputation to maintain. But sweet little Vaera was ruining his reputation.

"I want to be there to support you." Vaera added as if it was obvious, because she thought it was.

The other knights saw him with Vaera, how she doted and clung to him and they thought he lost his edge. He was going to prove them all wrong and he didnt want Vaera to hear what he was going to do to his competition- if one could call these knights competition.

"It's not a real tourney, just a bunch of pansy's." Gregor assured. "It won't be much of a challenge."

"Then-"

"Just hand out here, get some sun, I will be back before you know it."  Gregor requested.

"You know best." Vaera agreed.

"Since when?" Gregor countered. Vaera smiled back at him. That smile broke through his rough exterior and wedged her way right into his stone cold heart. Much to sandors objection, Gregor did have a heart and it beat for Vaera Lannister.

"We can go riding after? If its not too late." Vaera added.

"Anything you want." Gregor agreed. "I will come back, you stay here."

"Okay.' Vaera agreed.

"You got everything you need?" She was still getting used to this new room but she rearranged it to fit her liking and prevent her shins from further injury. "You got water, tea... cookies." Gregor tapped a finger on the bedside table. "Anything else?"

"I will fine, good luck Gregor." Vaera declared.  He hesitated nodding, he didnt need luck but she always offered it. He gave her knee a squeeze kissing her forehead, her eyes went wide, her jaw slacked as he headed to the door.

"Gre-" She whispered as the door closed behind him. Her shoulders slumped and he left her with her racing thoughts of all the things she wished she had said out loud.

"How did you do?" Vaera questioned the moment her door opened.

"Glad you didnt come." Gregor countered.

"You lost?" vaera gasped, Gregor didnt lose.

"He cheated." Gregor corrected. Vaera put her knitting needles down. "He fucking cheated. Dont look at me like that."

"It's okay you can't win every match."

Gregor grumbled slumping down beside her on the bed, she reached out a hand until she found his head, she gently pat down to his shoulder until she touched his chest.

"So no ride today?" Vaera questioned. Gregor put his hand over hers and let out a slow breath. He killed his damn horse.

"Fuck." he growled out. Vaera leaned forward slightly, confusion filled her.

"What's wrong?"

"My horse... got... hurt." Gregor offered.

"Will he be alright?"

"No." Gregor corrected. "Had to put him down."

"Oh, I'm sorry. He was such a good boy." Vaera cooed. Now he felt like shit.

"Horses die Vaera." Gregor countered.

"Yes but-"

"Vaera, can we move on?"

"Yes." Vaera agreed. "I'm sorry you lo-"

"I didnt lose, he cheated, he fucking cheated." Gregor was a sore loser. THe moment the king demanded ENOUGH! Sandor dropped to one knee and Gregor had swung his sword just nearly missing him before marching off. NO one dared mess with gregor as he headed off.

"He went into Lady Vaera's chambers."

"You think he is fucking her?"

"Raping her more like it."

"He's her guard-"

"Move." Cersei commanded and the knights silenced running off. "Honestly Vaera you wont believe-" Gregor shot up standing beside the bed as Cersei came in. "-what the knights are saying, honestly- Ser Gregor. Did you lose?"

"You werent there?" Vaera countered.

"Not the point." Cersei countered. "YOu know I hate those things." She added. "But did you? Maybe you shouldnt be guarding my sister if you let the knight of flowers best you." She chuckled, Gregor stared back at her, his gaze darkened to a deadly stare.

"He was cheated." Vaera cut in. "This knight of... flowers?" Vaeras head turned towards Gregor. He grumbled again. '"That knight cheated, Gregor didnt lose, it wasnt a fair fight."

"Right." Cersei mused. "What are you two up to?"

"Talking." Vaera answered. "Gregor is very talkative as you know." Vaera teased. Cersei stared back at Gregor assessing him but his gaze had since shifted to Vaera. HIs gaze was soft, protective, loving. It made Cersei worry what Gregor would do when Vaera rejected him if he ever got the urge to make a move.

"I will leave you two to it then." Cersei agreed. "Just popping in."

"Bye Cersei!" Vaera declared. She waited until Cersei's little heels clicked her way to the door and it creaked closed before turning to Gregor. "You know cookies are not just for victories... they are also consolation prizes when you are cheated out of a win."

"Is that you way of saying you ran out of cookies and we should get some more?" Gregor pondered glancing to her empty plate.

"You know me so well."
