Vaera had nightmares, night terrors for the next moon. She woke up screaming and confused. Her head turned rapidly looking for something she would never see again.
Tywin held her as she sobbed out.
"Can they fix me, daddy?"
Tywin could have gotten Vaera anything and everything she could have ever dreamed of, but he couldnt bring back her sight. No one could.
When Gregor finally saw her emerge on her balcony she didnt have her usual smile and she didnt look at him. Gregor stared up at her. It had been a miracle that she had survived the kick at all but he knew something had changed.
When needed Gregor handled the dirty work for Tywin, the things that needed to be done, but recently Tywin didnt need him to run off and handle things, he was to focused on Vaera. It gave Gregor a lot of time to worry about Vaera too. So think about her. To think about how she used to smile at him.
It had been a moon of waiting, stealing glances at her balcony hoping to see her come outside again but when she finally did, Gregor felt her pain from all the way down into the courtyard.
vaera ran her fingers over the railing and debated jumping, what was life without sight? She leaned forward, Gregor narrowed his eyes up at her.
"I just went in, she was resting." Tyrion remarked. Tywin nodded slightly. "She is strong, she will get through this." Tyrion added.
"I know she will, I just miss her smile." Tywin countered heading off. Tyrion hated to admit it but Vaera's injury had brought him and his father closer.
"I just want to be normal, I just want to be normal," Vaera repeated leaning forward on the rails. "Why can't I just..." she closed her eyes praying for her sight back, but she opened her eyes and saw the same darkness. She screamed, shaking the railings. Tywin's gaze shifted up to her, he was going to call out to her but she stumbled as she turned around tripping on the chair on the balcony she gave it a kick and lost her balance again and now she was falling. She screamed arms flailing, all she saw was darkness.
Tywin couldnt breathe, paralyzed with fear but Gregor moved forward swiftly, catching her. She continued to scream as she gripped his broad shoulders.
"I got you, stop breaking my eardrum." Gregor grumbled. Vaera's breath hitched as she turned her head to where she assumed Gregor's head was. "You alright?"
"I didnt mean to fall." Vaera assured.
"Vaera!" Tywin declared running to them. Gregor put her back on her feet.
"I didnt mean to fall, i tripped." Vaera assured again as Tywin grabbed her hands.
"I know my littlest love." Tywin assured. "Come on, lets get you back inside." Vaera nodded using him for support. "Clegane," Tywin added glancing back to him. "Thank you." Gregor nodded watching them leave.
Vaera hoped her second near death experience would have let her brain settle but her night terrors woke her up again. She dreamed in full picture, in color, she saw everything, to bad everything she saw was reliving the night the horses got out, that fear she felt as they kicked up against her. Her eyes popped open each time and she wished the nightmare would fade but the darkness covered her still.
Vaera would be living this nightmare for as long as she lived.

"You love cookies." Tyrion countered.
"I..." she was hungry, she licked her lips.
"Come on, hold out your hand, I remember when you were little you ran into the kitchens and tried to steal cookies before supper." Tyrion recalled as Vaera held out her hand. "You thought you were on a secret cookie mission."
"Mission Cookie." Vaera agreed taking a bite.
"Gregor, thank you for coming in." Tywin remarked.
"You got a mission for me?"
"Sort of, please take a seat." Tywin gestured to the seat across from him. Gregor knew this wasnt their usual interaction. Usually Gregor and tywin met in the courtyard, he told Gregor what needed to be done, paid him half before and half after it was done.
Gregor sat heavily across from him. He refrained from asking more questions as he shifted in the chair. HIs gaze flickered around the room before landing on the wine before them.
"Would you like some?" Tywin questioned.
"Got anything stronger?" Gregor countered. Tywin got up pouring some bourbon for them both. Gregor dark it down like water. Tywin took a sip before putting his back down.
"Ser Gregor, you have been an asset to us, to me, over the years and I would like to offer you a full time position."
"Full time?" Gregor questioned confused. Full time kill?
"My daughter, Vaera, as you know she lost her sight and... I would like you to be her body guard, her friend, her companion. I... last week on the balcony," Tywin took another sip. "I can't even," he began before drawing his bottom lip into his mouth, he shook his head. "I cant even imagine a life without her, if you werent there-"
"I was lucky."
"You saved her." Tywin corrected. "You saved my baby girl. I can never repay you for that. I would like you to protect her full time, you will receive increased compensation and you may have a room here so you can be closer to her." Tywin added. Gregor didnt even have to think about. "And anything else you might need or want, as long as you treat my Vaera with the utmost respect and dignity that she deserves... and handle those that hurt her."
"When do I start?"
