"It burns", Maggie complained from where she sat on the cold tiles, feeling the chemicals reacting, getting warmer to the point of burning.

"You've survived worse", Nat muttered, not feeling sorrowful at all as she flicked through a magazine as they sat waiting for the hour timer to go off.

"Why do we even have to do this", Maggie huffed like a child, bored out of her mind.

"You know exactly why, now shut up!", Nat raised her voice like a mother would to their child.

"Everything all right in there?", a knock followed by Steve's voice outside the bathroom door came through.

Natasha having forbidden both Steve and Sam from entering the bathroom for the whole time her and Maggie had been in there.

Since they've been on the run, moving from place to place every so often, Nat had bleached her hair blonde, Steve grew a beard, Wanda's hair turned red, then Wanda left to go on the run with Vision, eventually turning off her transponder, and you get the jist.

But for the whole time they've been on the run since Nat bleached her hair she's been begging Maggie to let her bleach hers.

Maggie always refusing to let the spy until finally she'd had enough of her begging that it would be fun and Nats complaining that it was going to help the government find them if she doesn't change her appearance.

Even if she wanted to go back and not do this she wouldn't be able to, the bleach was already on her head and had been for nearly an hour.

"Nearly done now, would go by a lot faster if this baby stopped whining every five seconds", Nat called to Steve, looking down as the timer then went off. "Okay time to was-"

"Baby!", Maggie screeched, cutting the woman off. "I'll have you kno-"

Maggie cut herself off with a yelp as she was roughly grabbed by the Russian, Nat grabbing her and throwing her head down over the shower head.

Nat was basically water boarding Maggie, spraying water in her face every time she tried to talk or move and keeping her down with a hand around her neck.

Sam and Steve shared worried looks from beyond the door, hearing gurgling choking sounds coming from Maggie inside the bathroom and not a word from Natasha, neither of them were going to question the assassin however.

Once Nat was satisfied that she'd washed all the bleach from Maggie's hair she grabbed a towel, releasing her hand from Maggie's neck and then pulled the girl up, patting her hair dry with the towel.

"Lightened nicely", Nat hummed, brushing her fingers through the wet strands. "And evenly, won't be orange", Nat was proud of her work.

"Finally", Maggie stood up, thinking that they were done and that Nat would let her leave looking like a wet rat.

"Where do you think your going? We're not done", Nat raised a brow, grabbing Maggie's wrist and pulling her back down, to sit on the floor.

"What do you mean?", Maggie cried out, her stomach rumbling with hunger.

Nat didn't say anything, just pulling out a blow dryer and a curling iron out of a bag and plugging them in, letting them heat up before she began to style Maggie's hair.

Blow drying it dry, Nat then picked up the curler giving Maggie's hair natural waves, making it seem effortless.

Switching both of the equipment off, Nat stood Maggie up, using her hands to fix the pieces before turning Maggie to face the mirror in the bathroom.

"Oh..I-", Maggie had no words, all of them being taken from her as she gazed at herself, reaching up hesitantly to feel her hair to see if it's real.

She knew she looked good with her dark brown hair, it really making her blue eyes stand out against her pale skin, but the blonde...it, she looked exactly like her mom.

"I'm going to take this as you like it", Nat teased, poking the girl out of the daze she was in. "Now, let's do the big reveal."

"Yeah..", Maggie trailed off, having to force herself to look away from the mirror and to walk to the door.

"You boys ready?!", Nat called to Steve and Sam who were back sitting in the living room, not even waiting for them to answer as she opened the door, walking in front of Maggie as they entered the living room, the two man sitting expectantly.

"Ta-Da!", Nat then held her hands out to Maggie, stepping out of the way and revealing the new woman.

Sam let out a whistle when he saw the blonde on Maggie, smirking as he nodded to her and took a sip from his glass. "Looking good, girl!", he cheered, ever the hype man.

Maggie then turned her eyes onto Steve who was sat looking at her like he'd seen a ghost, seeming to have been thinking the same thing she was when she first saw her new look.

Only she didn't know was that Steve and her mother had history...well, she knew that they met back then, she didn't know the rest of the short meeting that the two had, Steve never evaluating more on that part of the story.

"Steve?", Maggie snapped him out of his daze as he stared at her, Steve blushing as he scratched the back of his neck.

"You're beautiful, Maggie", he smiled shyly, Maggie's mouth lifting into a smile as she also blushed at the compliment from the man.

"I was right", Nat now had a smug look all over her face, her ego rising at her masterpiece.
