All now piled into the Quinjet they began to approach fields of trees and bushes, this being the mystery place Steve was telling them about."Drop to 2600, heading 0-3-0", Steve spoke over to Sam who was flying the jet, telling him how to land it.
"I hope you're right about or we're gonna land a lot faster than you want to", Sam warned Steve as he began to drop the jet, approaching the overgrown forest.
The thing Steve was meant to be right about was that they fly into the Kingdom of Wakanda, it's technology being so vast that they've been able to hide it from the outside world.
Just as they were getting close to crashing into all of the trees it was like they'd flown through some sort of force field, the trees disappearing as they now flew high above a mountain, a lake wrapping around over to a giant castle.
Flying by the circled around a massive statue dedicated to what seemed to be the Black Panther.
As she looked out the window in amazement at the magnificent place, Maggie still wondered onto why Steve gave her an almost nervous look when he mentioned Wakanda.
She knew she'd heard of the place before, she just didn't know why, because she knew she'd definitely heard it on the news and in passing, but she just got a sense that there was something she was forgetting to remember about the place.
Landing they all stood up and made their way out of the open Quinjet being met with the Black Panther, T'challa, who was also Maggie found out to be the King of Wakanda.
A man she'd previously fought and used her magic to throw him away, so finding out she'd beat up the King that was meant to be helping them didn't help her nerves.
Usually walking with Nat and Steve, Maggie decided against it and hung back, not comfortable with people she didn't really know she opted to walk with Sam.
"Should we bow?", she heard Bruce whisper over to Rhodey.
"Yeah, he's a king", Rhodey nodded, seeming almost appalled that Bruce thought he wouldn't have to bow to the man.
Panicking Maggie looked to Sam after she heard Rhodey say that, mentally preparing herself to have to walk up and bow to the man, though at the shake of Sam's head she breathed a sigh of relief.
"Seems like I'm always thanking you for something", Steve said in greeting as he shook hands with the man, seeming quite casual with him.
Then stepping forward with all of the confidence in the world Bruce cleared his throat to pull the attention onto him as he bowed to T'Challa.
"What are you doing?", Rhodey gave Bruce a weird look as he tried to hold in his laugh, Bruce looking up alarmed and blushing as he realized what had just happened.
"Uh, we don't do that here", T'Challa chuckled, then beginning to walk off as everyone followed behind him. "So how big of an assault should we expect?"
"Uh, sir, I think you should expect quite a big assault", Bruce answered, speed walking as he caught up to T'Challa.
"How we looking?", Nat asked the man, wanting to know their safety in numbers.
"You will have my Kingsgaurd, the Boarder Tribe, the Dora Milaje, and-"
"A semi-stable one hundred year old man", that all too familiar voice cut the King off, Bucky stilling up to the group with a smile on his face.
Maggie blanched as if she'd just seen a ghost, now remembering why she knew Wakanda, how could she forget that Steve told her that Bucky had gone back into Cryo here.
She watched as Steve walked over with a huge smile on his face, Bucky's mirroring it as they hugged, doing that pat on the back thing they always did.
"How you been, Buck?", Steve asked, and Maggie listened in, wanting to be discreet about it but she couldn't take her eyes off of him.
She wanted to know how he was, to know if he was better and how he was doing, she also felt a bit of frustration at the fact that he hadn't tried to talk or contact her once.
The only reason she hadn't gave much of a thought to him since Steve told her he went under Cryo was the pain that she'd feel everyone she thought about him.
Had she known he was out already she might of asked Steve to bring her to Wakanda to see him or maybe write him a letter.
Though the more she though of it, she had the thought of maybe Bucky didn't want to see her, maybe that's why he didn't try contact her.
That thought left a gutting feeling in her as she continued to stare at him, waiting for his reply onto how he was doing.
His hair was longer, though it seemed to have been trimmed, he'd grown a bit of scruff but kept it clean and looking closer he'd got a new metal arm, it being entirely black with gold going all throughout it, it was pretty.
The most noticeable change however was that he looked better, he looked happier.
Without her, her thoughts couldn't help but bitterly think, always tempting to bring her down and make her think the worst in herself, that she wasn't worth anything.
Feeling a hand on her arm, Maggie turned her head to meet the eyes of Wanda who gave her a small side smile, having understanding in her eyes. Having felt Maggie's feelings washing off her in waves.
Maggie said it once and she'll keep on saying it again, thank goodness for Wanda, who was always her saving grace.
"Uh, not bad, for the end of the world", she'd heard Bucky answer Steve.
What she wouldn't know was that the entire time Bucky's eyes were on her after her said it, having looked for her when he first arrived but not noticing her until now.
The blonde had really made him do a double take, the whole time he'd though if her he couldn't get the blue of her eyes and the darkness of her hair out of his head, so it was a shock to see that she'd bleached it.
Wanting to talk to her he didn't get time, the group being led away by T'Challa and Wanda pushing Maggie along inside and away from him, both him and Sam staying outside to keep an eye out for Thanos.
