Having brought Scott inside the Compound, the man was now pacing up and back to the room they'd previously been in, the lab being seen through a window behind him as he thought on how to say what he was going to say.

The three others occupying the room standing all bunched together as they watched the man pace his way into the floor.

"Scott", Steve called to the man, Scott looking up at him with wide eyes. "Are you okay?", Steve asked genuinely concerned for him and his shell shocked state.

"Yeah", Scott hummed, rubbing his eyes with his hands, then covering half his face before snapping up. "Have either of you guys ever studied quantum physics?"

Steve turned his head to look at Maggie and Natasha, seeing if either of them have knowing he definitely has not, this word being foreign to him.

"Only to make conversation", Nat shrugged in agreement, Maggie nodding at her words to also agree that she too has done the same.

"It can be useful", Maggie nodded, cringing at her own words and deciding then to shut up and not say much else.

"All right, so...", he pointed to the two women and then began to try use his hands to explain this to Steve. "Five years ago, right before...Thanos", he threw out with another hand gesture. "I was in a place called the quantum realm."

Now turning to fully look at Steve he began to explain what exactly the quantum realm is the best he could to the man out of time. "The quantum realm is like it's own microscopic universe", he started. "To get in there, you have to be incredibly small."

"Hope! She's my, uhm...", he fumbled over his words. "She was my....", he didn't know how to explain his relationship with the woman as the three others stared at him with sorrowful eyes.

"She was supposed to pull me out", was what Scott ended up going with, not going into much details on this Hope woman. "And then Thanos happened and I got stuck in there."

"I'm sorry, that must have been a very long five years", Nat sympathized with him, Maggie nodding at her words.

"Yeah, but that's just it", Scott countered. "It wasn't. For me, it was five hours."

The three now perked up at his words at the news that for the past five years that Scott had only been gone for five hours, this had to be impossible.

"See the rules of the quantum realm aren't like they are up here", he said to them after their surprised looks. "Everything is unpredictable!"

"Is that anybody's sandwich?", Scott then pointed at the peanut butter sandwich that Nat had made earlier just sitting on the table, waiting to be eaten. "I'm starving!"

Rushing over to the table, Scott picked up half of the peanut butter sandwich, taking a bite into it and moaning at the taste and satisfaction it gave him.

"Scott", Steve called after him once more as he asked. "What are you talking about?"

Turning around with a sandwich in hand and a mouthful in his mouth Scott began to muffle out. "So...what i'm saying is...time works differently in the quantum realm."

Starting to walk forward, Scott began to pace again as he continued. "The only problem is right now we don't have a way to navigate it. But what if we did?", he made a fist gesture with his sandwich free hand.

"I can't stop thinking about it. What if we could somehow control the chaos....and we could navigate it? What if there was a way that we could enter the quantum realm at a certain point in time, but then exit the quantum realm at another point in time?"

Scott spun his theories to the group of three, his hands making all kinds of movements as he tried to express himself. "Like....Like before Thanos."

"Wait", Steve held a hand out to pause the guy in his speech as he tried to get where Scott was coming from. "Are you talking about a time machine."

"No. No, of course not", Scott shook his head in denial. "No, not a time machine", he then began to think on what you would correctly call it. "This is more like a....Yeah. Like a time machine."

"I know it's crazy, it's crazy", Scott laughed at his own theories. "But I can't stop thinking about it. There's gotta be....some way...It crazy", he gave up, knowing they saw him as a nut.

"Scott", Natasha now cut in after a long thought. "I get emails from a raccoon, so nothing sounds crazy anymore."

"So, who do we talk to about it this?", Scott then wondered, looking to the three, this now be the two girls turn to look at Steve.
